Harsh is an understatement. Until we hear otherwise, it's completely unfounded and somebody needs something else to occupy themselves with for a week or so :)

My iPad 64g wifi in black arrived today from the US.

Bought it from someone on eBay £600 Inc 2 day fedex delivery, he also put $100 on the shipping notice to help me with customs..

But the thing is I have an iPad 1 64g 3G on eBay and it got 1 day to go and it's only at £100

Thing is not sure I'm prepared to let the ipad 1 to go to cheap beSt device and most used gadget I have...

I could probably get a good price for the iPad 2

Ummmm need to think

Ian

Sold my iPad 1 16GB WiFi for £280 on the bay. It was "as new" though with 8 months warranty and leather case.

In regards to the iPad 2 launch, Ive got a gut feeling it will get put back :(

Hope I'm wrong! :D

That's why I love FedEx and why I'm pissed mine was sent via Parcelforce and is stuck I'm customs!

EBay - I have a clever idea.

I do it all the time on eBay.

I list it at a price that is what I want and it always sells for more. No matter what it is I'm selling.

I'd NEVER contemplate selling anything like an iPad for less that a few hundred quid. To list it at 100 or less is insane!

Same here I've learnt my lesson with starting prices on ebay, always start at what u want to sell it for. I usually get email's from people saying the postage is too expensive or can you do it for this price. They are only trying to get a few quid off at the end of the day.

In reality if they want it they will buy it lol. That sounded like a Wayne's World quote "If You Book Them They Will come" lol

I don't fancy waiting in line either think I'll probably hold off till after the weekend at least and see what's left in stock. i have a comet, currys, bestbuy as well as an apple store so I should be able to get one somewhere. You'd think so anyway.

I'm getting my mum one for mothers day so I've got a week after launch to get one.

Hate to say it, but good luck with that one!

I can't see there being any stock for a while after launch day (should it happen on the 25th). If you do, then great! :D

I hate to say it but I think your right. I don't/can't really wanna line up for it either cause I'm stuck at work mainly. Ordering online seems the best option, unless I'm lucky enough to get one a couple of days after. We shall see

Well I reckon it'll shoot up in the last minutes. There's so many on there right now yours won't be getting much interest until the end.

Failing that, you could try one of these places:
Mobile Phone Exchange

or

FoneHub

Mine was sent from the US on Monday via USPS. The tracking stopped on Monday after it left Oklahoma on route to destination. Anyone with experience on why the tracking stopped then? Its been 2 days now and I have no idea where my iPad 2 is! I have tried parcelforce and royalmail tracking and nothing. Was hoping to get it Friday as I sold my ipad 1 last week and have been ipadless for a week now and its killing me, didnt realise how much i used it lol.

This what I get:

Sold my iPad on gumtree and now looking to buy an iPad2 on the 25th

I will be heading into the Apple Glasgow store and was wondering if anyone has and past experience or tips for that particular store on launch day

Thanks

i have been to the last few iphone and the original ipad launch day events, good atmosphere and sometimes free coffee from the staff at starbucks across the road :), got there at 7am and was out just after nine with the ipad launch, pretty fast moving queue.

USPS only tracks in the US. It should've been sent by FedEx, DHL, or UPS.

Try Parcelforce international. I had this with something last year and it got a new reference when it got to the UK.

I concur, when it gets to the UK they assign it a GB number, just type in the US tracking number and check the box for international. Also if there are customs fees you can call the holding depot and find out the amount and pay when you go and collect it.

I hope that there aren't any huge queues at the smaller retailers. I mean there's quite a few different places that are supposedly gonna have them, there better not be a ton of people at John Lewis Tunbridge Wells :p

Tried Parcelforce but just get this at the moment:

It can't be in the system yet then. I'd keep trying.

I had a similar experience with a guitar I bought off ebay sent exactly the same way. When the parcelforce website showed they were holding it due to custom charges I decided to call them, but some stupid women said she couldn't take my payment cause she needed a special number only found on a letter that they send you through the post. I thought was a bit stupid as I could of given her all my details to identify myself. Jobs worth for sure lol
