First, I'm an Android Nexus One user, have never had an iPhone, etc..
I've decided to get an iPad two over an Android tablet, mainly because I want something built nice. The Android tablets all feel cheap to me.
The ONLY thing giving me pause is lack of native Flash support. I use it all the time on my Nexus One. just as an example: I hang out at a Dallas Cowboys message board, and folks there are always posting embedded videos of different plays, press conferences, etc.. It's nice to be able to access that content. Before Flash came to Android, it would always say I needed a flash player to view it. I can surf straight to CNN's site and watch any videos I want to. It really has changed the way i use my phone.
The reason i guess that I am willing to try the iPad is because I figure the apps on iPad are more robust and that maybe I can watch these same videos in the apps for iPad(CNN etc..) but I'll still be screwed for some content such as that Dallas site because they have no iPad/iPhone app.
It would just be nice to know I can access ANY videos at ANY site on the internet. I guess what I'm saying is that I'm going to WALK into an Apple store and buy an iPad 2....but Flash support would make me RUN in to buy it.
I used Skyfire before Flash came to Android and it works okay...but nothing like full native Flash support. I mean sure Flash uses battery....streaming video tends to do that
, but I choose when to use it and when not to and it has never caused me any problems and given me the full internet on my mobile device.
Anyway like I said I'm willing to try things Apple's way, but I sure wish iPad 2 would come with Flash......it'a really the ONLY thing I think it will be missing for me...well that and I wish it would come with Google Maps with built in Google Navigation..
...that would be KICK ASS
Sure wish Apple and Google would start playing nice with each other..and adobe too
