How many people around the world have access to 4G networks right now? I think it's coming to the UK in 2013 (get a move on Ofcom). I have no idea if this is a US only thing. Is it worth putting a 4G chip in the iPad 3 if 4G is not universal? Presumably they will have a 4G version and a 3G version.
RAM is a deal maker/breaker.
Dual or Quad, doesn't matter much to me.
RAM, on the other hand, means everything.
256mb in my iPad
If they leave 512 in it, I'll wait for the 4th offering.
Problem is the mobile networks don't want to play ball re downloading lots of content on the go. They are all putting "fair use" caps in place. Public wifi sites are just too slow to download much. It's ok if all you need is a few music albums but what if you want a few HD movies. It would take hours. We really need a 128GB version if the iPad is to taken seriously as a laptop replacement.
Once you get that you realize you don't need a MBA.

iPad 0? As in zero? What's that?
"...it's a flat rock, and a piece of chalk I carry around with me".
This will be my first iPad. My hopes...
-128 GB Storage
-Quad Core CPU
-Retina Screen
-LTE Support
-10 Hour Battery
-World Support
-Voice Turn By Turn Navigation
-Facial Recognition User Profiles
Don't even think about it.-Faster Storage + USB 3.0
-Bezel Touch Functions
What does it matter?-1 GB RAM
Why would it? Different Device for different use. They could release a 128GB iPod touch this fall if they wanted. If they released a iPad 3 WiFi+LTE 128GB for $929 I would still buy but I think $829 is more appropriate. It has been years and still stuck with the same storage. It had to of come down by now.Wouldn't a 128GB iPad 3 effect the iPod touch price?
I do not see Cloud storage becoming mainstream for at least 5-10 more years. It is because of current infrastructure cannot handle it. Plus I would much rather have that stuff on hand because I will not pay Apple for more than 5GB of storage yearly when I could have an additional 64GB of storage all the time. Plus the fact Apple has yet to fix the issue where Apps much remain on the device if you want to keep that data. Remove it and add it back you you loose that data.128GB is possible...they would have to have gotten a good deal on flash storage though....but with iCloud and home networks...128GB is kinda over-kill if you can just on/off-load content.
I could see them putting out a 32,64,128 and nixing the 16 due to application sizes....or putting out 4 sizes now...and the 16 is sorta the entry level just used for minor gaming, movies and some browsing.

Last three are extreme long shots.
...
What does it matter?
Who cares?
As long as the available memory works with the system and OS and allows smooth running.
yeah I have a feeling they're gonna save the 1GB for next time, which they SHOULD'NT, but we know Apple.... smh

I'm due to update my macbook, but I'm thinking about waiting now.

These could be. The last two are software more than hardware, and might be included with the next iOS.

You must stay in really nice hotels. I find that Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden, etc. all offer free WiFi (of varying quality). The Sheratons, et al pretty much charge for WiFi. Odd. The pricier the hotel the fewer amenities they offer.

If Apple is actually using a Retina display, they'd need 1GB of RAM.
