If you lived next door to the Fed-Ex facility you would not get it until the 16th. Even if your neighbor or a close reletive worked in that facility you would not receive it until the 16th.

Just got my shipping confirmation email as well. Picked up in Middletown Pa. at 1:03 pm by Fed-Ex. Preordered on Wed. Delivery still states 3/16. I am near Pottsville Pa. and getting my first, 16Gb WiFi Black.

I ordered on announcement day (3/8). I received my email stating that my order was received, but it doesn't say it has shipped yet.

Hope everything goes off without a hitch. When I pre-ordered my iPhone 3GS, my order was subsequently canceled (no one could explain why), and I had to go stand in line on launch day.

I just noticed that the delivery dates differ from fedex and the email i got. But either way, this one says March 14, even though it says that it will be delivered on the 16th.

What time did you place your order on March 7th ? I finished placing mine's by 1:58pm that day...

You likely won't get it that day, that's just the day it'll hit your local hub and then it'll go out to you on the 16th.

It's a shot in the dark I know...but with so high demand for the 16th wouldn't a mass majority of there carriers be shut down only to focus on iPad/ATV delivery's?

I wonder if FedEx/UPS might ship some early to prevent that.

I got my order confirmation email at 5:40pm EST on the 7th. No shipping confirmation yet.

My accessories, ordered at the same time shipped out from China on the 8th.
