Doesn't mean that they have to stick to them.

I'd rather they did the iPads together, and the iPhone and iPod Touch together, but not in the same quarter.

Hmm... doesn't really matter to me. But I prefer them have the release dates divided by product types. Phones, iPods, iPads in one presentation. And Desktops and Laptops in another presentation.

Alot of times, apple just DRAGS out presentations with trivial data about profits and other stuff most consumers could care less about anyways.

My guess is that it's very unlikely we will see an April release. It appears that Sharp is having manufacturing problems with their IGZO displays. Not only that, these high resolution panels are difficult to manufacture which affects their availability in mass quantities.

In any case,I would not upgrade to an ipad 5 straight away if it does boast an IGZO display.I would probably wait for the second generation for the bugs to be ironed out.My experience has been that first generation technology tends to have problems.

So you mean..you will be waiting for ipad 6, then?

The more I use the 4, the more inclined I am to stay with it rather than switch to a 5. I could not say that about the mini after awhile and went to the 4 instead.

MY sources tell me we will see:

iPhone 5S: June
iPhone 6: July
iPhone 6S: August
iPhone 7: September
iPhone 7S: October
iPhone 8: November
iPhone 8S: December

There, do I sound more full of it as everyone else now?🙂

So, Calendar won't be only an application anymore?

The 128GB iPad capacity update is the mid year refresh, we aren't going to see the iPad 5 until the holiday season.

Unless I'm missing something, I already have the 128GB 4G iPad Retina, bought two weeks ago. Is there an even newer version you're referencing?

Lame.
So a year without anything new.

LOL .... complaining about a year ... that cracks me up .... taken a look at the mac pro releases? The last one was in 2010 (the 2012 refresh even Apple agreed was not a new machine). Speculation on the information we have says most likely is summer 2013 or Q3 2013 for the new mac pro.

Makes no sense to release the iPad 5, retina Mini and iPhone 5S all before the holidays. I know Americans love to max out there creditcards just to consume, but the rest of the world mostly likes to spend money they have 🙂

Except Greece. And Spain. And France is now hurting quite a bit....Italy? In dire shape. It's not just America my friend. Entire countries in the EU are being bailed out. There are plenty of us 'Americans' that don't max out credit cards/spend money we don't have.

I don't think there were any parts leaks for the ipad 4.

The iPad 4 is a mirror image of the 'new' iPad 3. The only changes were internal (processing, GPU, cameras, and Bluetooth, wifi antennas). Other than a thunderbolt connector, there weren't any parts to 'leak'

I'm in the late summer/fall camp. I think we will see a Mac Pro this spring, maybe some updated iWork software...apple AirPort Extreme (AC), and depending on intel, the Airs and MBP updates. iPad, iPhone, iPod will be September or October releases to coincide with back to school and holiday shopping. There are a couple of other 'pro' apps that could see an update too. Logic. Aperture. FCPx/Motion/Compressor. As well as the Apple TV (update to current set top hobby, not an actual TV) and/or a smart watch. Apple will have to appease the stock market with quarterly performance numbers, so I understand those that believe a spring iOS release makes sense. Possibly an iPhone XL--to augment the current iPhone 5--a 4.5-4.8" iPhone option that no one really sees coming. The 5s in October. A bigger phone this spring.

Just my thoughts.

Yea it feels weird and sorta boring with Apple not having a March event. No new OS X 10.9 or iOS 7 preview, no new iPads, etc.

Feb/Mar/Apr in the past years have been like this:

2010
-iPad released
-MacBook Pro update
-iOS 4 preview

2011
-MacBook Pro update
-iPhone 4 on Verizon
-iPad 2 and iOS 4.3

2012
-OS X Mountain Lion preview
-iPad 3
-Apple TV 1080p

2013
-Retina MacBook Pro price drop/spec bump

Almost April and nothing. Think Apple is changing this up now, maybe less predicable but hopefully they don't just have everything in the fall.

http://appleinsider.com/articles/13/02/06/apple-tells-reseller-new-mac-pro-coming-in-spring-2013

As in the link above, Tim Cook himself confirmed a Mac Pro in spring due to new regulations banning the sale of the current gen Mac Pro in the EU. I think it's likely that we won't see any new product launches until June at the earliest.

I got the iPad 3 on pre-order. It was the first retina for iPad and it is still perfect.

Alot of times, apple just DRAGS out presentations with trivial data about profits and other stuff most consumers could care less about anyways.

Those presentations aren't consumer events. They are media events and the media often does care about that stuff. Thus why it is mentioned.

The consumers get the info filtered into various articles and sub articles and can find what bits they want.

----------

Wise man say lack of parts seen mean no new iPad 5 soon.

Wise man say don't believe rumors or lack of. There was a lack of parts suggesting an iPad 4 launch in the Fall and look what happened

But the fact that they released the iphone 5 on T-Mobile suggests that the rumors of a June launch for the 5s is less likely (if it was that soon they would likely just wait and the addition would be 'one more thing') and the release of the 128GB iPad 4 suggests that a launch of a new one in April (some 3 months later) is less likely (again that would be 'one more thing')

Returning the OS and iOS previews to WWDC was a strongly logical move. So logical that it suggests a permanent move.

Same with moving the new iPads to the same time as the new iOS. Many, myself included, found it annoying that the two were split. Particularly when there were features that the 'old' iPad couldn't do because of lack of hardware.

Not to mention new iPod's including the Touch. I buy a lot of Apple stuff (Fanboy) and releasing all that at the same time would basically force me to pick one and go with that. Where with a new iPad release in the spring and a new iPhone in the fall I'll tend to pick up both.

Retina is not new technology. It has been around for years on the iPhone and it's still based on basic LCD technology.

Igzo uses totally new materials to make the LCD.We have heard about all the pros like power savings but until it hits the market,we will not know about it's cons.

You missed what I wrote...I said "retina for iPad". They had to figure out a new way of making that screen. The iPad 3 screen was first of its kind. Maybe not first with "high PPI" but certainly of its kind. The screen was made perfectly for most of us.

Dont forget that ENGINEERS design this stuff before a company invests millions into it. Its not like they just throw crap out there and see what happens. Im sure IGZO screens will be pretty close to what they anticipate them to be.
