If this is true, looks like the rMini will be the first victim of the iPhone 6+. Apple is known to prefer cannibalizing its own than let a competitor do it for them.
It still sends me to the rest room to do No. 2, when I ponder that Apple removed anti-glare screens from its entire range. Only about a year ago, the last remaining product to have an anti-gare, paid extra option was the MacBook Pro 15" - and they cut that too.
So Apple think most of us LOVE glare? No, we buy Apple products because the overall sum total of their features are good - but many of us HATE glare.
So now, Apple brings back an anti-glare for the iPad - and they have the temerity, or bloody-minded nerve to think they're bringing in a positive feature for the iPad, when they've deleted it from everywhere else that people are asking for anti-glare screens?
No one is saying EVERYONE wants an anti-glare screen for Macs and iPads, but some of us do. In fact, anti-glare screens are more needed for Macs since they're harder to orientate to see past the glare - whereas iPhone and iPads in the hand can readily be oriented to compensate for glare. It's in Macs that anti-glare screens are needed.
I really have to push this No. 2 out.
If this post is too foul for you, then you've captured a sense of how I feel about Apple on this point.
i honestly dont really see how this justifies a keynote
I think the 6+ will cannibalize mini sales, the question is how many?

For those saying the 6+ eliminates need for iPad Mini, you clearly have never had reason for an iPad.
I will be very surprised if by next year the iPad mini isn't dead. Apple isn't Samsung; they define general buckets for hardware to keep things simple for customers. The iPhone 6 Plus and the iPad mini are too close in terms of feature use-case to justify the costs of keeping both around. Yes, the Plus is a bit smaller, but it's still big enough to do iPad-esque tasks.
So I think by next year we'll have:
* iPod touch (though I question how long this will last)
* iPhone 6c, 6s, 6s Plus
* iPad Air, iPad Pro (still not convinced this is real tho)
It won't.
The 6 Plus may be less successful than the 5c. It is too big for an iPhone and too small for a tablet.
----------
There's a huge difference between an 5.5" and 8". Those who want a tablet won't get an iPhone 6 Plus. That's just a phone. and too big at that. it is only 5.5", shouldn't be that big.
Yawn Yawn Yawn.
God I'm worried this is going to be amazingly dull and boring.
Here is the new iPad Air 2
Same case, Same size and shape, same speaker layout.
We added TouchID the phone had over a year ago, it's a bit faster, camera a little better, but not as good as our phones still and we messed with the screen a bit.
show over
I want a new tablet, but afraid the above it all this is going to be
I so so so hope I'm wrong.
Well I'm still on the iPad 2, so this will be a fantastic upgrade for me and I'm very looking forward for it to be announced. Not everyone upgrades to the latest products every year.
If this Air 2 doesnt have 2GB of RAM I do not want it.
Guess I'll have to wait till 2015 for 2 gigs of ram
Just wondering they will include NFC in the Air. I suspect not. But who knows there may be other uses for it.
