That's what you call an e-Expert. Gives comments about things but has zero idea of the topic itself. I think Tim's doing well so far and their current direction is in the right place. I'm glad to see Apple products are affordable to everyone ($250 iPad to $850). Regardless of what your income is, if you buy an iPad (even the Mini 1); now you're in the ecosystem and will be thinking about an iPhone or Mac. People complain about having too many choices of Apple products, but when is that a bad thing. From Apple's stand point it may help their growth.

On topic: I haven't noticed any vibration yet, will report back if I do.

You either have headphones in or aren't using anything with sound.

Checked it out at Best Buy. It's insane. It's the first thing I noticed, and it really turned me off.

Still having no issue with the vibration. Just seems like bass depth being pushed out. Are there many tablets with speakers this big sounding? It sounds miles ahead of the iPhone 5 era

Wait...what...iPhone we're talking about a tablet. It really should not be vibrating this much. I sent mine back and then bought it again, because I gave my daughter my IP3 and she was upset that I was going to take it back.

I'm learning to live with it and best case I'll consider it a rental and can sell it for $500 in 8 months when the IP Pro comes out. :) I can't see spending money on the Air when I know Apple must be working on a new OS that will all but require 2GB of memory.

I checked for this at the Apple Store and also noticed it immediately. But then I checked the iPad Air 1 and noticed it there too, although not as pronounced at the same volume levels. I never noticed it on my personal iPad Air because I have it in a case. However, I was planning on using an Air 2 with only the smart cover due to how thin it is, so now I'm going to notice it a lot more if I decide to go that route.

The front glass vibrates quite a lot on the Air 2, much more than my iPad Air. It's starting to annoy me quite frankly and it has nothing to do with it being in a case or not. If there's any sound at all on a game, the glass vibrates

The glass vibrates? Geeshus, what an annoyance. It's the extra bass from the Dr. Dre crap or whatever. The Air 2 is like one of those thumping car subwoofers now. :D

Enjoy.

Used my new Air 2 for a few days now and love everything about it except...

Thought I would get used to the vibrations as I don't use the internal speakers that much for music but I do for YouTube, film trailers and news bulletins. The very noticeable vibrations irritate like hell after a while and your hands get tingly! Nothing like that happens with my Air and both devices are in Apple smart cases.

I am not prepared to live with it on such an expensive device with the hope Apple May fix it with some sort of ios fix in the future. That will most likely not happen.

Going to return it this afternoon and maybe try another one some time in the future when it may get quietly fixed or at least substantially reduced.

I am monitoring this closely. Would love to have an iPA2 but this is a deal breaker for me too. I know that vibration would drive me crazy. Guess I'm sill in wait n see mode...

There are reports that the recent batch (largely) resolved the vibration problem.

I'd like to know how I can be sure of getting one of these. I've had no vibration with my previous 5 iPads/iPad minis. I noticed it immediately on the Air 2 in the Apple Store and decided not to purchase. It was very noticeable and very annoying.

I logged on here to see if others had noticed the same issue, I see I'm definitely not alone!

If that's the case, I'd like to know more!

I decided that I'm not willing to live with this issue on a $700 device. I did a reset on my Air 2 this morning and put back in the box. I plan to return it to the local Apple store tonight. :(

This'll be my first visit to an Apple store and the first time I've returned an Apple product. I'm sad to return the Air 2. In all other respects, the Air 2 is fantastic.

If Apple fixes the vibration issue, I'll buy another.

I've had my Air2 for about 1 week now and already I barely notice the vibration anymore despite using it a lot to listen to podcasts and live radio over the speakers !

Wow, you guys would HATE my theater room.

Well, maybe not (if the movies were good). :D I don't have a theater room, but even my modest sound system produces vibrations (if that's the right term in this context - an audiophile I'm not ). It's cool - part of the experience.

I don't expect (or want) my high-end tablet screen to vibrate while I'm listening to low volume music. It makes using the iPad uncomfortable.

Swapped my 16gb wifi only for a 64gb cellular version this afternoon. Not too convinced that the vibration will be any different but I live in hope. Even a little less may be okay to live with. Be in touch later!
