been preparing to ship since yesterday. ordered on the 17th too
fedex and ups tracking by reference number shows nothing. shipping to NYC. :(

Still no movement on my AT&T 64 GB Space gray order. Says 11/3-11/7 and preparing for shipment. The hold on my card dropped off. Looks like they are going to bang us solid. I made out like a bandit with my iPhone 6 preorder from them too.....

We are in the exact same boat, my friend. Literally a click away from going through Apple. 64GB Space Grey Air 2 with Cellular is 2-4 business day shipping time on Apple's website.

----------

Has anyone who preordered through their carrier seeing any movement?

Nope.

NYC - still preparing to ship.

Ordered Friday at 11:09 EST.

Space Grey iPad LTE 128GB.

:/ Can't find anything in Fed Ex either. Hoping to hear soon!

It should be noted that mine is listed on the FedEx website with a time of delivery by 8pm. You all should get your notices on fedex momentarily.

Used to work for AT&T. You can bring your own tablet and they'll give you a $100 bill credit if you have them add a 2-year contract. Also it helps out the kid in the store if it's a new number because they get paid off of that so you win and you make some kid with a really hard job a lot happier for the day.

So now my tracking number has loaded and FedEx says a label has been printed and estimated delivery for tomorrow.
64gold LTE coming to the Philly area.

I got mine from my AT&T store through Next because I didn't feel like paying the whole amount, besides the $100 gets cut down to $60 because of activation fees.

Finally, my status changed to "shipped"! Still no movement at all from Rialto though.

This is me also. I got the shipping email from Apple but FedEx still only shows "label created."

Like I said earlier, I wouldn't be worried. Most flights don't leave the Fedex hub, which appears to be where everything is being shipped from, until late tonight, as late as 4am. They then get to your city 2-4 hours later, then are on vehicle for delivery by 6 am.

I honestly don't understand why Apple doesn't just make the release date a week later than what they normally would. This would allow all the stores to be stocked and then they can make sure to prepare all pre-orders for the day of release delivery. Ok... they might miss some sales if they are available a week later than normal where someone MIGHT choose another tablet if they walked into a store and the air2 is not available. Maybe they are leaving for vacation or some other time thing would cause someone to purchase a different tablet. With that said though... I am glad we are getting them in the next few days instead of 7 days later than that :).

Better yet, why not delay the keynote a week to ensure that the stores have an adequate stock?

Don't pay activation fees on bring your own device anymore. Don't pay activation fees on AT&T Next. It's a $100 credit, trust me.

It is definitely something with the silver iPads that is being delayed. Or maybe they're just the last of the three colors to be shipped.

Reading through this forum I saw that everyone who mentioned they got silver have the status: preparing for shipment, myself included.

Interesting but at least that explains something.

I have slate grey with a delivery date of 22-24 and still preparing for shipment, with no evidence of it through reference searches with UPS and Fedex. So I don't think the color has anything to do with it. Probably more with where in the country you're located.
