I have slate grey with a delivery date of 22-24 and still preparing for shipment, with no evidence of it through reference searches with UPS and Fedex. So I don't think the color has anything to do with it. Probably more with where in the country you're located.

I didn't nevessarily mean if you got a different color yours should have shipped already, I meant more if you ordered a silver one then it definitely hasn't shipped yet.

Yours could possibly just be in the second wave of slate gray iPads due to ship today too. And the first batch of silver ones also hasn't gone out yet

wahoo just got email from apple my iPad its shipped and tomorrow will be deliver

silver/16/cellular
:D

Like I said earlier, I wouldn't be worried. Most flights don't leave the Fedex hub, which appears to be where everything is being shipped from, until late tonight, as late as 4am. They then get to your city 2-4 hours later, then are on vehicle for delivery by 6 am.

Yeah, not worried at all, just excited. :D

I'm also hoping they get on with it so that I can change the delivery address before it gets on the truck, as I can't take off work tomorrow. If I can't change it, no biggie, I'll just pick it up after the failed delivery attempt, but if I can, that'd be great.

Just sold my 1st gen Air on craigslist so now I'm without an iPad. I am super sad. Where's my Air 2... looking at you AT&T!

Same here. Well, not NJ, but, bah you get the idea. Gonna be a work-from-home day tomorrow.

I'm getting anxious. I'm also in northern NJ, purchased 2 minutes after store went online, 22-24 delivery window. Still nothing but preparing for shipping, with no fedex or UPS reference... Fingers crossed!

I got silver and mine shipped this morning from Rialto

An update from Hawaii:

Silver 64GB WiFi +cellular

Ordered via Apple Store app on 10/17 at around 9:30 AM PST. Given estimated delivery date between 10/24-10/28. :(

Status updated to Preparing for Shipment on 10/22 at 9:00 AM PST. Stayed like that all day. Nothing on FedEx or UPS either.

This morning, no change on the Apple order status page. BUT, when I checked at 9:00 AM PST, FedEx showed a shipping label created for delivery from Apple in Rialto, CA for 10/24 (!!!) via Express Overnight! :)

9:30 AM PST: Received an email from Apple that order was shipped.

11:45 AM PST: Received a text from FedEx that delivery was expected before 5:00 PM HST (8:00 PM PST) on Friday, 10/24. I checked the tracking and it had gone from Rialto to Ontario, CA and was already on its way to Honolulu.

HAPPY CAMPER! I was not expecting it to make it to Hawaii before the weekend. Thank you, Apple! :apple:

I wouldn't worry and don't think finger crossing is necessary. I'm pretty much in the same position of you, just a couple hours south of you. Logistics is an amazing thing.

Hmm... So some shipments have moved on from Rialto...

Well, I've been trying to relax through these inexplicable delays. I'm in just about the same position you were. Waiting on my 128GB Gold LTE, ordered on the 17th, deliver 22-24 to Northern NJ. Waiting on preparing since just past noon yesterday.

Hoping mine "flips" soon and I get that magic e-mail.

Great news!
I should be getting mine from the same distribution and just waiting on tracking, so I'm getting mine tomorrow too.

Update:

I just got a text message from Apple. My 64GB/SG/LTE has been shipped and is due to arrive in Murrieta, California tomorrow.

How long will it take for tracking information to be available?

64GB Gold LTE
64GB Silver LTE

Ordered 08:10am PST on October 17.
Estimated Delivery date October 23-27, Standard Shipping.
Status changed to Shipped at 1:40pm PST October 23 (today)
Delivery to San Francisco East Bay, CA
Fedex, estimated delivery Friday October 24 by 8:00pm.

My very first post here, mostly because I want to complain.

Ordered at 5 PM CST on the 17th.

128 GB, Gray, Cellular.

Told Oct 28-30 as delivery, online, this whole time.

But I saw everyone else having their's shipped, so I thought mine would be changing at any moment. But it stayed as "Processing" this whole time. I refreshed hundreds of times.

Refreshed an hour ago and my delivery has changed to 30 Oct-3 Nov.

WOW. Once I find them in stores around me I will be canceling my order. Still waiting until Nov 11 for my iphone 6 plus. I love Apple products, and I won't change to another brand in the foreseeable future, but I am so disappointed in Apple this go-around. I rarely buy new products so iPhone and iPad were supposed to be amazing buying experiences. I have had nothing but trouble.

Maybe I should just cancel everything and keep my 4s and iPad 2. Ugh.

Don't pay activation fees on bring your own device anymore. Don't pay activation fees on AT&T Next. It's a $100 credit, trust me.
Yes, but if I bought it outright from AT&T there would have been an activation fee. I should have paid the whole amount and bought it from Apple and then got the credit, but whats done is done.
