Does this have to be done in a store? Could I try to get in over the phone when I try to talk to retention for the 10GB double offer? Maybe that's to much to ask for at one time..

My very first post here, mostly because I want to complain.
...

WOW. Once I find them in stores around me I will be canceling my order. Still waiting until Nov 11 for my iphone 6 plus. I love Apple products, and I won't change to another brand in the foreseeable future, but I am so disappointed in Apple this go-around. I rarely buy new products so iPhone and iPad were supposed to be amazing buying experiences. I have had nothing but trouble.

Maybe I should just cancel everything and keep my 4s and iPad 2. Ugh.

It will be interesting to see when the cellular iPads show up in stores, given that they have been slow shipping for preorders.

Next year, I think I will adjust my expectations and if I choose to buy a new iPhone or iPad, assume it will be a Christmas gift. That way I should be able to walk into my local Apple store and just buy it there and then.

Thats if they will even have any by Christmas, because the way things are going with the iPhones they very well might not.

Ordered at 5 PM CST on the 17th.

128 GB, Gray, Cellular.

Told Oct 28-30 as delivery, online, this whole time.

But I saw everyone else having their's shipped, so I thought mine would be changing at any moment. But it stayed as "Processing" this whole time. I refreshed hundreds of times.

Refreshed an hour ago and my delivery has changed to 30 Oct-3 Nov.

They should be in store tomorrow.

My 64 SG Cellular has finally shipped. "Picked Up" in Middletown, PA, delivering to Northern NJ tomorrow by 8pm. WOO!

Just got a tracking number and confirmation...

Two 128GB SG iPad Air 2 WiFi and LTE are in route from Ontario, CA to my house for delivery tomorrow. Cannot wait. Looks like they should be in stores tomorrow.

The store came up at 11:00 Eastern time on the 17th. My order confirmation email for an Air 2 64G SG LTE is dated 11:02. (I had the page bookmarked and was ready to go and sprinted through the ordering process.)

It finally went to "Preparing for Shipment" about 24 hours ago, where it has been ever since, and they charged my card last night. It's not in my support profile, there's no information based my phone number in FedEx or UPS, and I haven't had a word from them about it.

While I was waiting for preorders to start (yes, against my better judgment I was up all night), I was keeping an eye on Twitter figuring it might give me a second method for spotting when the store came up. The vitriol on there spewed by people screaming like spoiled children over their inability to preorder RIGHT THIS MINUTE was pretty shocking to me. When, in fact, Apple never said what time on the 17th pre-orders would start. Kind of had a "wow the Internet really is a cesspool." moment.

The delivery dates they gave me were 23rd - 27th. They could still make their estimated delivery date, and even if they don't, it's just an estimate.

So I want to make sure I don't go down the road of those horrible people on Twitter, bitterly complaining that I didn't get something I wasn't promised.

Nonetheless having gone through the up-all-night, first-in-line rigamarole, I'd be lying if I didn't say I felt a little let down that people who ordered well after me, and people who just walk into a store and buy one tomorrow morning, will be enjoying their new toy before me.

So that's where I'm at with my iPad Air 2 experience so far: a little down. Mostly because I feel like those few hours were not well spent, and that I made a mistake spending them that way. Best I can do is learn from that mistake for next time.

And, of course, click reload on the Apple order status page about every 15 minutes.

Preparing for shipment.

Damn.

iPad Air 2 - US LTE (cellular) Status/Shipping/Delivery Updates

Picked up! (Fedex picked up)

Finally Shipped

Here in California - FedEx deliver by 11 am Friday.

Wonder what happened to cause the delay.

Oh well happy now.

Technically there isn't any delay. The earliest delivery window is the 22-24. Tomorrow is the 24th. We are all just anxious.

In my excitement, I asked them to hold it at a FedEx location near my work. Problem is that they have until 8pm to deliver, and I don't land to be at work waiting until who knows when. Doh!

I've put in a request to change again... Hopefully it goes through and doesn't delay my shipment!

Shipped

Mine shipped via UPS , no overnight for me, I will be getting it Monday, my shipping estimate was between the 22nd-24th. I'm a little mad but at least I know now that mine is on its way

It's actually only 15GB and above they have the double data codes for. They couldn't help you get 20GB for the 10 price no matter how much you threaten to leave.

Wait. Juvenile adults spewing vitriol on Twitter surprised you? That can't be. :D

Seriously, if you ordered any time near when the preorder started the odds are very good you'll get your toy tomorrow. I was in "prepared for shipping" purgatory since very early yesterday AM and just received my shipping confirmation from Apple.

The FedEx truck can literally pull up to the warehouse at 11am tonight, get it on a 2am flight and have it at your front door at 10am. Meanwhile the unit that was picked up at 8am this morning is still on the van well past 2pm tomorrow.

ordered ipad cellular on the 17th around 6 pm est. 16gb gold and still hasnt shipped..
chheck fedex and ups and nothing
how come people who ordered cellular ipads on the 19th are getting theirs shipped before me :(

SHIPPED! 2 128GB Space Gray LTE. Ordered on release day, minutes after the store came up. Has been sitting at processing since ordering, with an expected delivery if 22-24th.

Shipping notice says delivers tomorrow.

Let me put it to you like this.

If you had asked me on Thursday whether baby poop was gross, I would have said yes. But Friday morning was like my first time actually changing a loaded diaper myself.

Twitter, in this analogy, being the diaper. Some things you just have to experience firsthand to fully appreciate the horror.

;-)

Heh. Stick around here in the forums and you'll get to see a lot of loaded diapers.
