iPad iPad Air 2 - US LTE (cellular) Status/Shipping/Delivery Updates

Well mine shows shipped but fedEx still hasn't scanned it in. So I'm guessing it's still in TN. I sure hope it makes it to Austin tonight for delivery tomorrow. My estimated dates were the 23rd-27th so Monday is still in the window. While FedEx says estimated delivery tomorrow by 8:00 pm it also says weekday delivery so I'm thinking there's still a chance I won't get it until Monday.

My shipment date just improved by a day
FWIW, my original order (engraved space-gray 64gb LTE) stated a delivery date of Oct. 29-31, then that changed to Oct. 28, when I looked again this evening, I'm now slated for end-of-day delivery on Monday, Oct. 27.

It gets updated every time they scan it. That happens when it arrives at a location and when it departs a location. You should see a scan showing they received the package, another when it departs that location, then another when it arrives at the next one, and finally one that says 'out for delivery'.
These scans usually happen during the night because that's when they fly.
When you request a hold, does it say when it'll be available before you commit to having it held?
If I could pick it up before work, I would, but I'd hate to push the button to have it held, and then find out it'll be available for pickup on Monday.
Mine changed to the same date range :-(. I'll check stores & will pick them up that way if they become available before my orders ship. I've already sold both iPad Air first gens.
How long have people been in the "preparing to ship" status? mines been saying that for 8 hours, my card got charged. hummmmm....
Mine was in 'Preparing to Ship' for 27 hours, give or take...
But then the Standard Shipping proved to be Overnight/One Day shipping, so it doesn't really matter to me.
This worries me, too. I know that some people who requested a hold for pickup for the iPhone 6 weren't able to pick up until the following Monday instead of receiving it on launch day as originally scheduled.
Mine left "Ontario, CA" (California, not Canada - stupid ambiguous place names!) earlier today by FedEx and will make it to me by 8pm on Friday (tomorrow), according to Apple.

Don't be discouraged by a little delay like that. I've seen the same change for the same item. Neither you nor I will remember that delay a year from now. And who knows, the dates may change again. Hang in there!

I ordered day 1, 64gb gold, from Apple Store. Almost immediately the charge showed up in the "pending" section of my Capital One card. A few days later, it disappeared.
Item was shipped today (hey, I got PRIORITY overnight (10:30 AM)!), and as of right now there still is no charge of any sort on my credit card.
Not complaining, btw...

Called FedEx and they will hold it at the shipping center (quarter mile away from me).
If you live close to the shipping location and you are excited for something to come in, FedEx always is willing to hold at their location. It beats getting excited every time a truck drives by thinking it's a new toy... work tool. Yes, it's a work tool. I edit Word documents on it.

Thank you, I appreciate the encouragement. For many reasons I was really looking forward to the Air 2, plus it was the first time I ever preordered an electronic device.
But you are absolutely right. 1 year from now I won't even remember the delay, or I at least won't think about it. Also, I imagine the day it actually does come I will be so excited that I won't even think about it either!
