Now that you can pre-order for pick up at the Apple store I am seriously considering picking up a WiFi only model tomorrow. My LTE ordered Friday is still in preparing for shipment status. I ordered online to get it earlier but that doesn't seem to be working. I could have picked one up tonight if I had looked at the Apple website sooner.

Thats great, if you want wifi only.

And having any iPad Air 2 one or two days earlier is that important? You'd sacrifice LTE just to have one now? I'm confused by people's patience levels in this thread.

I will head to Apple Store tomorrow if I don't get a shipped notice by then. I feel like Apple set the expectation too high then couldn't deliver. I realize they wanted to give themselves leeway to get out some ipads before friday. So Friday wouldn't be such a mess.

What expectation did they set? The windows ANY iPad Air 2 had were 10/22-10/24 with many (including mine that was ordered at 8:04 am PST last Friday) was 10/24-10/28. We haven't even hit those windows and people are getting their devices. The impatience of some folks here cracks me up.

Mine is for 10/22-10/24 and I ordered mine a 11:02EST. If Apple says LTE models wont be available right away, then maybe ill settle for something else...lmao!!! We wouldnt be here if we had the appropriate patience levels one is allowed to have. Some of us are excited. Its like christmas for us.

Right now, based on how the wifi-only orders proceeded... If you were in an area with October 22-24 delivery, you'll probably receive yours on Friday. If you were the later delivery date (October 23-27, I think it was), Monday looks more likely.

Actually my original delivery window was 10/29-10/31 but now I'm getting it Friday. It's 128 GB Cellular. Michigan destination, winging its way to Louisville now.

Oct 28th delivery to Chicago

I ordered this right after they went on sale: Personalized iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi + Cellular 64GB - Space Gray

I live in Chicago. The delivery date of Oct. 28th is actually a day earlier than what was originally estimated (Oct. 29-31), which is fine by me.

Depending on which Apple thingie I buy, the shipment tracker is either fun to watch or it's torture. In this case it's fun, but that's mainly because I already have an older IPad that still works well enough.

How do you know?

I used the combination of when UPS tracking says it departed Anchorage, Alaska plus the flightaware.com site to see the UPS flights that departed PANC airport bound for Louisville . I believe that is where they go through U.S. customs and then on to a flight to ultimate destination unless you're near Louisville, I guess.

Reply if you want more details about how to use flight aware. Someone posted a really good tutorial for me yesterday after i requested information. I just find it fun to watch its travels. I can easily wait until Friday but I'm easily entertained by guessing which flights it would be on. It went from Chengdu, China, to Incheon, S. Korea to Anchorage, AK.

Thanks, wasn't aware anyone had any tracking info yet for cellular models, or shipping notifications for that matter.

You can't wait one day?

I can wait but I really don't need LTE. I usually order online for store pick up which is great for me but wasn't an option this time. No idea when the LTE model will ship and it is not convenient to be home all day to wait for it when it does, so picking up one in the store tomorrow is looking like a good option. OK?

In 24hrs LTE models will be in stores as those who made LTE orders online are mostly seeing their orders are preparing to ship. So on Friday you can do an in store pickup

It's laughable to think you're going from LTE to wifi because you can't wait 1 day, it's not going to arrive weeks from now, but will be here Friday

i think they should stop using ranges. Just give the latest possible date. When people get action before that they are happy has heck, after that date we have a right to be upset.

128GB SG WiFi + LTE x 2 to use on Verizon (maybe??)
Ordered five minutes after the store went live
Delivers 10/22 - 10/24
Preparing for Shipment to Southern California

I am looking at a delivery date of Friday the 24th.

Went to Verizon to ask for a SIM for the two iPads and they said the SIMS are not free, but he would give them to me at no-charge if I activate it at the store. That was a corporate store, might go to an authorized dealer store. Anyone else had success getting a SIM from Verizon?

I may just activate them on another carrier as I will be using a month-to-month plan, as I have UDP Verizon phone lines x 4.

Thanks all...
