iPad iPad Air 2 - US LTE (cellular) Status/Shipping/Delivery Updates

Gold 64GB Cellular ipad air 2
Location: Long Beach, CA
Ships: 2-4 days
Delivery: 24th-28th
Pending charge on amex gone


Processing since tuesday morning



I placed an order an hour before it for a SG 64GB LTE model and it spit out 23rd-27th. So the Gold must be more scarce in 64GB

It's laughable to think you're going from LTE to wifi because you can't wait 1 day, it's not going to arrive weeks from now, but will be here Friday

I'm going try to get a SIM this weekend. If Verizon gives me any grief that's fine, I'll just activate on another carrier. And I'll have no problem telling them that.
 
Just checked Fedex my order has a tracking number, nothing from Apple yet but scheduled delivery is Friday by 10:30 AM. I'm in LA and it's coming from Rialto, Ca.

How did you see it on FedEx if Apple didn't update it? For UPS, I understand you use your phone number but what about FedEx?

Great suggestion to check FedEx, particularly since my case arrived via UPS. There were actually two tracking numbers for my address, but one was canceled, and it took me awhile to make sure the one still in progress wasn't the same as the one canceled. Anyways, mine is also scheduled for delivery on Friday before 10:30AM. The canceled label was scheduled for before 8PM, maybe that's what got corrected.

It's coming from Rialto CA to me in Phoenix and is a 64GB Gold LTE Air 2 also.

Mine also is still showing Preparing to ship but my FedEx account shows a label has been created for delivery on Friday.

Coming from Mt Juliet, TN to Kansas City MO area.

No tracking number from Apple yet, but I was able to get it via FedEx. So far it lists it as coming on the 27th even though Apple said the 24th.

Just saw an update on my FedEx account and it's the iPad. Currently in Tennessee and will be delivered tomorrow! Label was created at 3:30am.
 
So looks more and more like the theory that the foot dragging to ship the U.S. cellular models is due to the Apple SIM or the technical way it functions (3 cellcos-in-one). Perhaps it won't be "turned on" until Friday.

Mine is still "preparing for shipment," but I'm next day delivery from the Harrisburg warehouse, if that is where mine is shipping from, but China can be overnight as well. Apple has never fallen down on a delivery commitment to me and I have no expectation this will end the streak. Tomorrow it is for all us first-to-orderers; i.e., "delivers Oct 22-24."
 
I logged into my Fedex Delivery Manager account and it says label is created for standard overnight shipping with delivery scheduled for tomorrow.

Ditto. Looks to be coming from Mount Juliet, TN.

I hope it arrives much earlier than 8pm, as I will still need to take it to a Verizon store to get a Verizon SIM. I'm leaving town for the weekend and would very much like to have it fully working before I leave Saturday morning.
 
FedEx is handling my delivery, found it via reference.

what sucks is, the origin is Rialto, which I am a city away ... >< and will go to the FedEx hub at Ontario which is 2 cities away ><

bradley8795, you rock :cool: for checking FedEx too! I was checking reference only by UPS. This gives me time to change Friday night plans without causing too much upset!

Both UPS and FedEx Express have Saturday delivery but based on the info provided by "MareLuce" above, it appears that Apple is only paying for weekday delivery.

However, if your iPad ships FedEx Ground (Home Delivery), Saturday is a regular delivery day and they don't deliver on Monday.
