Awesome.... your welcome for the tip!

I really do have to tip my hat to you though :)

I just hope it doesn't cost more when it comes out in the UK. I plan on purchasing another one as a present for my sister's birthday in a few month's time :)

I'd say that's probably about £50 over the eventual price it will cost. Still a really good deal...especially for eBay! I think you should just resell immediately, make a £100 profit and use it toward some accessories! :D

That's probably what i would have done... though it would be sooo tempting to just play with it!

You're tempting me...

Now, should I get that lost of 20 iPads for £12k?

I'm trying to get a pal to get me me one from the states, **** waiting until the 20th for prices and 30th until they're released

UK Apple Stores employees have been told they can't have the 24th of either.

Did you get that from that site which probably no one has ever heard of before? If not, then good luck to everyone on getting an iPad on that day with the abundance of Apple stores available.

If you cant reserve them and if its only 1 per customer that is really really poor , i may just wait till mid may to buy it then !

Also people were talking about pushing the date back because of some ipad problems , i assumed all the uk ipads would of been all produced and packaged ready for shipment in 2-3 weeks right now , so does that mean they are pulling them all back and getting them fixed. ?

can you explain how the day before the iPad was announced you had no idea you 'needed' or wanted one...yet suddenly its absolutely essential that you get your hands on one before April 30th?

are the next 24days the most important in your life or just the most fanboyish?

by the time you get one bought for you and brought over that will be way less than 24days...

i just dont get it

Agreed.

I can understand people's excitement but I really can't see why people are saying things like "It's all too much for me!" or "I just can't wait any longer!" and then paying jacked-up prices for something that is ±a month away

http://www.techradar.com/news/computing/apple/ipad-uk-price-revealed-by-play-com--675490

play.com posted UK pricing of the iPad but then took them off shortly after.

Outrageously, play.com said that the iPad was a $-£ straight switch.

16GB - £499
32GB - £599
64GB - £699

Here's hoping thats an epic fail on the part of Play.com and not actually what they are going to cost.

Edit* Ignore, the article the prices were quoted from was dated 8th March 2010.

Indeed. I mean I'm as keen as the next person, but it's just not that serious to me.

Have you seen this guys?
http://www.bitterwallet.com/breaking-news-apple-ipad-uk-launch-saturday-24th-april/27798

rhymes in with the previous Canadian announcement but has nothing to do with the April 20 and 30 news we have been hearing today. If the Wallet news is true, we should definitely here something on UK availability during Steve's address on Thursday....

I'm SO trying not to be convinced by one rumour or another. This sounds better than the 30th though!
