Anyone in the US is very likely to have a delayed delivery because of the storm. Once there are adverse weather conditions, all of UPS and Fedex guarantees are out the window. Since most of the east coast airports have been shutdown for a couple of days, it may create a problem. I think that if they get back on their feet sometime today or tomorrow, it may be OK because that still gives them a few days... but just be prepared for them to play the weather card. I've had it happen to me before when the weather wasn't really a problem, but they used it as an excuse to not get something to my house.
Anyone with a Black 16GB from F4 shipped yet?? I am looking for a pattern for those of us who are unsuccessful in tracking...
I'll admit it, I'm nervous.
This is my first ever Apple product. I pre-ordered my 16G black at 2:07 am central on release night. I am still preparing for shipment AND my CC had not yet been charged. Obviously none of the reference tracking works on either UPS or Fed Ex with my serial # nor phone number. It is coming to Chicago burbs.
Apple site does still show 11/2 as my delivery date. Is there a chance that mine is being sent in a batch to a warehouse and then being shipped individually once it is stateside???
(The main reason I care is that we are leaving for vacation early Mon 11/5 and I really want it for the L-O-N-G plane ride)
ETA: My shipping type is Event Shipping
It will be there. I'm guessing many of the 16gb versions are already staged in the US (like the iphone5 16gb), and they'll start assigning serial numbers in the next day or so.
Just received my smart cover. I really like the size of it as it will finally feel different than carrying around my 11" air.
But I also checked the tracking of my Mini via UPS, it is in Kentucky right now. Does anyone else's tracking say it will be delivered Friday...by 11:59 PM?
This is kind of why I prefer lining up in the morning...I can get it and go on with my day rather than sitting around all day waiting for UPS...

It's most likely the east coast that is effected by the hurricane. Since my package is in Louisville, KY, I'm pretty sure mine's going through the customs and soon will be on it's way to Madison, Wisconsin. Mine will be delivered on Nov. 2 no matter what.
Thats my thing too. Im gonna go to the store and line up thusday night weather permitting but just in case i cant get a good spot in line, I still will get it on the first day. Plus, i may get a 32GB instead of a 16GB and an additional smart cover. So we'll see.
I already have a serial number, do you mean shipping/tracking number?
I am thinking (*hoping*) you are correct that it is in US and being sent out from there, but that is the reason for my later post, to find a pattern for all of us who pre-ordered immediately but cannot track.
Mine is a black 16GB wifi from F4 (week 42 I believe) that is shipping to Chicagoland.
I'm 16GB Black & have an F4 SSN showing on the Apple Support site & I cannot find any reference that shows tracking information.
I ordered a 16GB Black Mini on the afternoon of the 26th, with a delivery date of 11/2. I also ordered a second unit, which is a 32GB Black Mini on the morning of the 27th, for delivery on 11/2.
The 16GB ordered on the 26th still says processing order.
The 32GB ordered on the 27th says preparing for shipping.
Both still show a 11/2 delivery date, though.
I checked my Apple support page, and I see the 32GB showing on my account now. I also got a hit on UPS using the phone number associated with my Apple ID. It shows a package went from China, to Japan, to Alaska, and now is in Kentucky with a delivery date of 11/2. I see the serial number of the 32GB on my account is also one of the reference numbers on the UPS package tracking details, so it appears the 32GB is enroute. But still no updates or hits on the 16GB anywhere. Just "still processing".

I still get nothing when I try to find my tracking info on UPS & FedEx using my phone number or my serial number. I'm not worried, though -- Apple will get it to me on Friday.
I hope so!! It's going to be a LONG boring flight if I don't have my new toy to play with!
Sucks. I've tried both the iPad 4 serial on my support page, and the number associated with my support profile with both services "Track by Reference"...I get nothing from UPS and FedEx.
...checked app and it still says "Delivers 11/2". I hope it does.

Just checked FedEx again leaving the 1 off of my number (country code). Says it was picked up originally in...Middletown, PA. Why the HELL was it in Pennsylvania?! Aren't these supposed to be coming from either California or China???

Apparently my White 16 GB iPad mini is in Louiseville, KY and awaiting for customs and will be delivered on Nov. 2.
But I believe he/she was specifically asking about the white units that gave a 2 week shipping window. Were you given a 11/2 or 2 week delivery at ordering?
