I wish i knew. I called apple, and they said it still should ship today, but they didnt seem positive about it

Spoke to an Apple Mgr. She said there are many shipments that show no movement but if your delivery date is 11/2 you will get it 11/2. Good news.

I can't wait to compare my Nexus 7 to the iPad Air especially the screen. That could be a deal breaker.

I live in middle Tennessee. My iPad was in Nashville last night, but I woke up and it's in Memphis. It could've been here today but they have the stupid future delivery put on it.

Mine sat at Fedex in Middletown, PA since Sunday - now in Indianapolis? I live in Ohio, so the path is a little weird. Looking forward to having a new toy tomorrow

Chill out. You'll get it tomorrow. Mine says Nov 6th as well. Same as the iPhone 5, apple puts the latest guaranteed delivery date in the range. You're in zone 1 so you'll get it tomorrow. You will see tracking updated this afternoon showing the mini in either mount hope or concord. By the time you get up tomorrow it'll be 'on vehicle for delivery'

Don't assume that thus UPS status will be fully up to date. My iPad 3 never did show as "on vehicle for delivery" even as the driver was pulling up to my house.

Same here mine shows 11:55 AM (Eastern Time) So looks like they will start sorting and shipping out soon.

So I live right outside of Calgary, Ab, Canada. I preordered my iPad mini black 16gb, an hour after they started taking purchases. Today I received notification from Apple that it has been shipped but it says delivery is Nov. 6th. Is this normal? On the Apple zoning map it says I am suppose to receive it Nov. 2.

Someone please help.

My iPad has been there since 10/30.

I'm really hoping to see some cases start showing up sooner rather than later (specifically from third parties like Incase). I'm not sure I want to pick up the Smart Cover or not...not entirely clear it'll protect the screen all that great.

I've had the smart cover for my iPad 2 since I got it at launch. I use it for around the house and think it does a great job of protecting it and it makes a great handle or stand, especially if you are using it in landscape mode and typing. If I am traveling though, I have purchased a case that I can snap shut which has a version of both the smart cover and protection for the back built into one.

I did order a knock off smart cover (I got bored and wanted a change) and it did not fit as well as Apples version. In the end, if you are going to buy a smart cover (and I recommend you do), I would splurge and go for the real thing. I think it's worth it in the end.

Well, UPS flew my iPad from China, to Anchorage, Alaska (where i live), sorted it, and then flew it to Kentucky. And then flew it back. We <3 logistics eh UPS!?

Still not seeing import scan on mine. I live in Northern Los Angeles County.
