Well, based on this thread, it is hit and miss, so prepare for the worst case scenario... Typing position is good. Using it now.

I just received my case in coffee color and it is perfect! No 'V' (guess I got lucky on that one) and it fits and looks great. I can see where some people have mentioned the magnets could be stronger but they work fine as they are. I agree a little more stick would be welcome but the sleep / wake and both typing and viewing positions are doing just fine for me. Once the cover is folded and broken in some it will help too. Even the logo and font inside the case is very Apple-like! Why, oh why couldn't Apple produce an OEM version like this? I mean, this one is probably 90% there, but Apple would be even a little nicer. Surely they are seeing the feedback from people wanting a back case and also something better than the Smart Cover that can pop off too easily. So far, I think I am going to be very happy with this case and I am probably going to order another one myself just to have a change of color now and then. For $10, you can't go wrong!

I just ordered the UAG case from Amazon. Not cheap for $60

I have been patiently trying to like the UAG Metropolis but it's packed up and headed back to Best Buy this afternoon. It's heavy but I accepted that as a trade off for protective. The front cover is like a flopping mess when you try to use it by holding with one hand and the real gotcha is there is no typing angle. Unbelievable. They claim to have put all this thoughts into a case but give you no way to type without some makeshift rigging which is still too wobbly. Same with the writing when folded flat.

Just picked up the Torro iPad Pro 10.5 case. Top quality. Sleep function etc. all perfect. Love their products.

I've ordered this case myself having previously bought an iPhone case from them and really like it (same Italian leather with red stitching). Does this add significant weight and thickness to the iPad? Appreciate it's going to add some but don't want it to get too heavy for reading from.

I will comment on mine once I get it. Amazon is supposed to deliver it tomorrow. I have my own stand at home and have an iPad holder for the car as well.

Not at all. Looks classy. I thought with spending that sum of money on a tablet I may as well dress it well. The fit and cut outs are perfect.

Thanks for the reply and the photos. I agree with getting a nice case to suit and have always found Torro to be excellent in both their products and to deal with. Looking forward to it arriving now!

I've received my fake leather smart case from eBay today. The case has a good fit, all holes align and my magnets a strong enough. Not super strong but strong enough to keep the case close when holding it upside down.

But it is definitely not genuine leather. But after having tried out several other cases I judge it the best so far. Still not on on the same level as the original Air 2 smart case but close.

Just place my order for the STM Goods DUX case (back cover) from Amazon.com. Says it will be released on 7/15. The full case (back and front) shows a 7/31 release date on Amazon.

STM retweeted a photo of someone receiving the back today. Nothing on their website tho to indicate the release tho.

IMG_1326.JPG I received the famous eBay fake cover today but I am really disappointed with the quality. The holes don't match ,one of the edge is not sticky and there is a crack on the thunderbolt slot

I recently purchased an iPad Pro 10.5" and bought a smart cover off of Amazon. Since then I have also purchased the Apple Pencil and I am now wanting a cover/case that can also hold the Pencil when not in use. Has anybody found a good cover/case w/Pencil holder for a reasonable price anywhere? I have seen a few on Amazon, but they are either ugly/heavy or expensive. Thanks for any recommendations.

The Surface Pen Loop works very well for me.

I received my replacement case from Luvvitt today. The opening for the Smart Case/Smart Keyboard has been fixed and now works fine. Overall very happy with this case. I also broke down and ordered a Poetic case with pencil holder in smoke gray, but that won't come till next week.

Just got the eBay smart case knockoff. Initial impressions:

1. Exactly what you would expect for a $10 knockoff. Probably not real leather. Definitely not suede lined on the interior. The interior feels like construction paper, and leaves a fine dust on your hands when you touch it. If grit gets caught, it may scratch the iPad.
2. Rough cuts (jagged edges) wherever there is a cutout. Like their blade got dull in production. Very slight <1mm misalignment throughout. But does not completely block the speakers/mics. Not that bad alignment wise, but not perfect.
3. Overall a nice job for a $10 knockoff. But I wish they would charge more for premium materials and quality control. If they made a $40 version with the real suede lining, I'd still buy it.

Overall: it's a good substitute if you need a case in a pinch. Not ideal, but could offer some protection on a trip.

I recently bought this sleeve for my iPad Pro 10.5 mostly because I'm not big on cases of any kind and I really don' like how the covers can only be popped up in landscape mode (I rather like reading/browsing in portrait). It also has slots for my Apple Pencil and charging cable.

I have the same sleeve for my MacBook Air and I love it.

Bless
