That looks great! Still undecided between this (to match the wallet and xs max sleeve i got from them), harber London, Joli or Carl Friedrik haha

Shouldn’t take too long before i receive the new Harner London EVO sleeve.
I’ll post my impressions and some picture as soon as i get it.

BIG QUESTION: Now that Apple has changed the location of the Smart Keyboard connector on the 2018 Pro’s and opted for folio style cases, I have an issue. My workflow requires me to REMOVE the Smart Cover front portion most of the time (I don’t need the keyboard). Does anybody know if cases allowing this are in the pipeline? I just ordered the 12.9” and of course want to protect it properly, but need to have a removable front cover. Any info will be much appreciated! Thanks!

Crazy Horse iPad 2019 12.9" Sleeve has arrived a day after Thanksgiving. Wow shipping was fast! It was actually a lot of fun watching it track from overseas to Mid-West USA. Okay, I don't get out of town much ;)

I love the look and it is put together well. Stitching is even, no missteps here. The leather has slight, but beautiful imperfections. I like that a lot! I'm sure with use it will take on even more character.

The magnetic closure tabs align and snap shut with perfection. In a fit of ego I did have my initials added as a holiday gift to myself.

Of course it isn't cheap, but I think it is worth it if you like leather and enjoy the contrast the felt backing gives the sleeve. It is IMHO a distinctive design. Note the iPad fits in it with either the Apple Keyboard folio, or the Apple folio. I think thicker folios would work, but probably not totally armored "SWAT" style iPad case.

Because it has a "pocket" as opposed to a "wrap" around style there is a soft edge on three sides (which excludes the top flap). I find it more comfortable holding it upside down so the felt cover fits in the palm of my hand. I

To be fair I have smallish hands, I think medium to large hands will be able to "palm" it from the bottom of the case with ease. I'm also wondering if that in a short drop the standoff soft leather and felt edges might take a little force of the impact. Think of a stuffed ravioli ;) No, I'm not going to start another "Bendgate". Those abuse videos really irritate me.

Final notes. I'm very happy with this purchase. I did pay for it, so no bribe for a good review was on the table. There was a small gift of a leather key holder included. A nice touch!

Really like the look of this. Is that the Folio Cover you have fitted? Hope so as I have the folio cover and hope that it fits inside ok.

It’s so easy to remove the iPad from the keyboard folio and folio. I just remove it and go naked while in bed, on a plane, or on the coach. I’m not sure what line of work you are in, but if your work doesn’t involve movement, you can just easily remove the keyboard folio. Or, get both and put on the regular folio when you are on the move. I don’t know if this helps, but just a thought.

Anyone knows if Incase would release new sleeves for iPad Pro 12.9” 3rd gen and when?
I really liked the Slim Sleeve with diamond ripstop for the previous gen iPad Pro, and would like to get one for my new iPad Pro.

Perhaps obvious, but try sending them an e-mail with your question.

You’re right, PanAm! But there’s more to it. Namely this: https://www.torchgrip.com/ Using the grip on the back, the front screen cover portion HAS to be removable; I can’t have it flopping around on my arm! I bought the Torchgrip six months ago in anticipation of the 2018 Pro’s, then Apple changed up. Aaarrrggghhh! Anyway, I’m hoping some case makers are going to give us a choice....soon!

I'm intrigued by the Torchgrip! Does it keep you from having a back cover at all? I'm guessing it has be at least somewhat removable.

Their documentation makes it clear that the ring can be installed directly on the back of the iPad, or on a case that holds tight to the iPad and is flat. The grip is removable for storage. You need to look at the videos and read their excellent documentation. It can even be moved if you change iPads! So, I’m awaiting the right case, or eventually I will install it on the back. It is quite attractive and makes a nice stand as well. Enjoy.

Thanks! I'll look into it once I am certain that I have the right size (still trying the 12.9 but undecided) and case!

How loose is the new iPad Pro 12.9 in the old apple leather 12.9 sleeve? Some good sales, and it looks better than most of these.
anyone checked this out? i am also thinking of buying the prev version cover.

I put the Apple sticker logo on back of the ASK.

I put the Apple sticker on the back of my Smart Folio!

Usually not fond of asking for a sticky, but could a mod be so kind and sticky this thread?

There is a lot of individual threads popping up, while its a lot easier to ask for and/or find information in one general thread, just like we had with the previous iPad Pro’s?

Received the Harber London EVO sleeve for my 12.9” today.

First impressions are good, allthough the sleeve is a little too snug to fit the iPad including the keyboard folio.
I’m sure it will loosen up in time as all leather sleeves do, so not too fussed about it.
The leather feels good and has some nice little imperfections, the stitching looks good, the felt interior looks good and keeps the iPad save from scratches.

The pencil holder, I’m not sure about yet. Even though we can magnetically attach it to the iPad now, it still makes sense to put the pencil in its holder to not accidentally lose it. I can see myself losing the pencil, attached to the iPad when just putting it in a sleeve like that.

All in all, a solid 8 if you ask me. The overal fit could be a little better but I’m sure it will in time.

Incase Reform 13" Bag. Well in my never ending search for accessories for the 12.9 3rd gen. I picked up this bargain priced bag during the holiday sales.

I did read reviews, and understand it is designed for a 13" laptop. I liked it's relatively unique design. But I'll be returning it to Incase. Why? Read on if you will.

I was not too worried about the device's "Tensaerlite" semi-rigid device compartment not being a tight/perfect fit for the iPad. With all the hoorah about bending iPads I thought even a semi-rigid compartment might help prevent damage.

The bag seems designed for going through airport security as the bag will "butterfly" out the storage compartment. However, I'm not sure if TSA allows iPads to go through security in any kind of bag/sleeve anyway. In this respect the bag is showing its age.

I found the "Tensaerlite" laptop compartment's magnetically closing flap too weak to trust. This was the deal breaker for me.

Ordered the Bellroy Pixelbook sleeve based on the Pixelbook dimensions being similar to the 12.9 iPad Pro (2018). Arrived yesterday and so far very pleased. Initially a very tight fit with the keyboard folio, but with some gentle massaging of the sides to help form the sleeve to the iPad Pro, the fit is perfect now. Construction and design are typical Bellroy, which is to say terrific and clever.

Smart. Looks like the perfect sleeve for an iPad. How does the pencil hold inside? Fall out much?

You can either keep the pencil magnetically attached to the iPad or place it in the holder loop. The loop is a bit tight at first but breaks in well (it’s leather). However, if you leave the pencil magnetically attached to the iPad, it sits sufficiently below the edge of the sleeve such that it won’t get bumped off unless you either drop the whole thing or you somehow bump just the inside of the sleeve opening.

The 4th picture shows how deep the pencil sits in the sleeve with the pencil still magnetically attached, and the 5th picture shows the pencil in the loop holder.
