I'd be surprised if there was another iPad Pro this early, i would say the iPad Pro 2 will probably be announced next year (2017).

i hope its released this year, it will be interesting to see what upgrades the pro 2 will get....

It's a good possibility that the 9.7" Pro 2 could be released this Fall, alongside the 12.9" Pro 2. After skipping the Air 2, because it wasn't worth the upgrade for me, I knew I would definitely be buying the next 9.7" released.

I plan on getting the 9.7" on Thursday. However, if the Pro 2 is released in the Fall, and it has some new features that I like, I will sell my 9.7" and get the new one.
I think that there is very little chance of either Pro being updated this Fall. Apple is not going to have 3 iPad updates/introductions within a 12 month period.

Anything is possible, and time will tell. Either way, I'm getting a Pro tomorrow.

I may get a Pro after I play with the 9.7 inch version in the store, but Im pretty sure there will be at least one pro update this year (12.9 or 12.9 and 9.7 inch updated to A10X).

For my use the current version should be more than adequate.

I think its likely this year

they can update in fall the 12.9" version with A10 or A10x with true tone display, touchid gen2 and some other minor things, maybe with upgraded smart keyboard with illuminated keys

Maybe if the sales are not good they will level the specs between the 9.7 and 12, but id be surprised if there was a V2 so soon.

the reason why people dont think the ipad pro 2 is not coming out this year is coz the ipad pro 1 is still good yet!

Touch screen is better for drawing, notes and most consumption functions. Pointing device and keyboard better for essentially all other productivity cases. This points naturally to hybrid devices like the Surface.

I think Adobe is starting a trend where desktop apps like Illustrator will have alternate touch
ui's built into the application. So now applications will be hybrid! I think some of the newer
CC applications show real promise. I like ios and I like ios apps-but I need pro apps
