iPad Pro 9.7 ordered / Waiting for delivery

Is it just me or is it surprising that they already changed the status to 'preparing for dispatch'?
Also, does anyone know when the smartcases etc. are gonna be available in store? Is it gonna be the 31st?
I know they're already for sale on the apple store, but i'd like to see them live, before I decide.

It seems pretty quick indeed. They might arrive a bit earlier than the 31st I guess.
Mine still at Processing.

Used the iPhone Apple Store App. Ordered the 9.7-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi + Cellular 256GB - Space Gray with AppleCare, delivers 31-Mar. Pencil delivers 28-Mar, Keyboard delivers 7/11-Apr.
 
Still processing too. Ordered 12:02AM PST.

Also, I always order the device first and separately, THEN go in and order the SmartCover / accessories. I've seen devices held up thanks to accessory availability (Like the Pencil... SO glad I ordered separately back in November!)

I feel that they are quicker than normal to start Preparing For Dispatch as well but I don't think we'll see any movement again until Monday.
 
So it gets to your house on the 31st? I swear I ordered a ipad air and it shipped on release day, or maybe because im in Hawaii...
 
Woke up at 4:25 am est since I had to work and easily ordered a Rose gold 32 gb wifi. Much less stressful than the iPhone 6s in September!

Depends on what you shoot. If you are using a DSLR or the like with RAW, I would not want to be using iCloud to move those around. I do tend to take the final JPEG exports to iCloud for sharing/etc. But I would be doing something similar to SFTP them to my NAS for processing when I get home.

except i don't wait until home to upload (to my webdav), i do this every night to free up spaces.

iPhone has a sales of 12million units for first weekend (3 days),
for iPad pro, apple is looking at 4 million units for the first half of 2016

you tell me which is more stressful...

wondering if apple will ask UPS to hold that off. after all, it says available 31st.
if apple doesn't say that, instead, just plain say available 24th and only take orders online, then for sure 28th will be the day.

Actually, unless it is the 256GB version, there is nothing unusual about that. The 128GB and below 12.9 iPads are the exact same ones released last year and would be in stock normally. Its only the 255GB one that's new.
 
Ordered a 32gb Space Grey Wifi + Cellular through T-Mobile.com around lunchtime today. Every model except one ships on release day.

You could exchange it in store for another color when it arrives. I ordered 128gb LTE Rose Gold and went with the light pink this time. White looks good too, but I have that on my gold 128 LTE 12.9" and it gets dirty faster than I'd like. :)
 
32gb Space Grey wifi for me with a charcoal grey Smart Cover.

Still undecided on the silicone case and Smart Keyboard.

Is it worth picking up Apple Pencil too?
