$1249 AUD for 32gb(wifi) and I paid $649 for my 64gb iPad Air 2(wifi) brand new on eBay a few months ago (so probably cheaper now). I know that's abit less than double the price but then take into account you are getting 32gb less and you definitely are paying more than double...
See my comment a few posts back. You have to take into account the exchange rate when the price was set on the two different models too

iPad Pro is not available in Denmark yet. Still says "coming this November".

...not that I wanted to buy it. I just want to laugh at the price.

hehe ... question now is . do *I*want it ...

nah,, i'll wait for u guys to rub it in a bit more.

faster and more ram thats it.

simply not worth the price at all to me
It can run at the same speed as iOS 8, as they gimped the iOS 9 performance for existing devices.

Desktop class hardware, so you can scroll smoothly again !

As an Apple fan, I'm very disappointed at this new tablet. It brings nothing new to the table.
I don't see how this will replace my laptop, OR my current iPad Air.

They should really learn from Microsoft's Surface Pro 4.... that machine is amazing, and miles better.

Agreed I nearly fell over when I saw the prices... In 2 minds now if I will buy.. Shame Optus doesn't offer the Samsung 12.9 inch tablet anymore....

I have the Samsung Note Pro 12.2. I wanted a larger iPad for years, Apple didn't make one, so I tolerated that Samsung garbage. Constant error messages it cannot connect to server (Samsung's to check for updates to Samsung bloatware). It's a POS. It's a pretty POS, and lightweight POS, but still a POS. lol.

YUSS!!!!! Preparing for Shipment! From past experience I imagine mine's coming straight from China, probably Shenzhen. So I guess there's a great big pile of them there that they're getting on to today and tomorrow.

I think to compensate for the d--k move of releasing iPad Pros without pencils (after hyping the pencil as 99% of the appeal of the device), Tim Cook should do the right thing and only charge people who bought them today what Microsoft charges for their Surface Pro pens ;)

Come on, Tim. Whadda ya say, buddy? For the fans?

Yeah I understand what you're saying but don't think the upgrades are worth the money. Especially as it's not running OS X. Sticking to surface pro 4 as I also have an iMac.

Um, they're coming 5 days after the iPads. That's hardly "without pencils", and it's hardly unprecedented.

The iPad Pro isn't going to replace a laptop. They can say all they want it can/will but it won't. It's just a larger iPad, other than the Apple Pencil there are no new features and the Pencil is only going to help artists. I have a rMBP, there is no way I would not use that for creating something over the iPad Pro. I still bought one, I want a larger iPad. If Apple was serious about the Pro replacing laptops it would have 256gb of storage or more available. At the very least it needs an SD card slot, but we all know how likely it is that ever happens. lol.

The problem with the Surface 4 is it's not great at being a tablet because, 3-4 years into Windows tablets there still aren't a ton of apps. Which means it's more of a very expensive laptop with a horrible and expensive keyboard, that can be used in tablet mode. And it runs Windows, which gets worse with every version. For the price of a Surface 4 with the keyboard, or the Surface Pro 4 with a keyboard, you can get a superior laptop. There are tradeoffs in everything no matter if it's running OS X, iOS, Windows, or Android.

And I would skip the Apple keyboard for the iPad Pro. If you need/want a keyboard look at the Logitech one. I've had Logitech keyboards for iPads and the Logitech Pro for the Samsung Note Pro and they are great keyboards. They're not as thin as a smart cover like the Apple keyboard but every review I've read so far of the Apple keyboard is highly critical.

Ipad Pro, nearly as big as a laptop and at a similar price, but with a fraction of the functionality.

I'm a big fan of SOME Apple products. I USED to be a fanboy and like everything they put out, but that was years ago, when they didn't release products that make you scratch your head in puzzlement and wonder what they heck they were thinking when they designed them. Apple have got to the point now where almost every product for the last few years is a head scratcher.

This is another one that puzzles the heck out of me: Only two different levels of memory (32 gb and 128)? What happened to a sensible 64 gb model? And what is up with only the 128 gb having cellular? Looks like another situation of semi-forced upgrades to me. How many people would have been happy with a 64 gb model with cellular, but will be forced to upgrade to the most expensive model of all to get the connectivity? And what the heck is up with the Apple Pencil? Which isn't even a pencil in the first place, it's a friggen STYLUS.

Thats the link for geekbench 3 :) Just run the benchamrk and it would say all specs and show how powerful the A9X is. Plus, youd be the first in the world to run it and will be on the front page of Macrumors and other sites :)

Yeah you using an iPad Pro for the last month or so really qualifies that statement.

I'm excited to see the results.
