Unfortunately, with the Euro falling in value against the dollar, the pricing these last few months really sucks. The iPhone 6s already became like 80 euros more expensive, and the 128 GB iPad Pro with cellular is 1249 euros here, which is way too expensive for me. Not that I need an iPad Pro, I'm happy with my iPad Air, but still, before the drop in euro (not that this is something I can blame on Apple ;)), at least it was somewhat affordable.

Now, this is way above impulse purchase territory.

It is what it is, though. Not like anybody's life depends on the affordability of Apple gadgets ;).

Waste of money! Your basically paying double the price of an iPad Air 2 for a larger screen and a pencil! Haha! Im a massive fan of Apple and buy everything they release but this is a joke. Sticking with my iPad Air 2. Would've been different if it ran desktop OS like surface pro runs desktop OS.

`if you're going to contribute, at least make sure you're using the right words. YOU'RE going to ruin YOUR credibility.

Because we all want to know how well crossy road and all the other dinky ios apps run, lol.

Just becasue you don't use pro apps doesn't mean the rest of us don't. Just to list a few;

Autodesk CAD 360 for all of my wireframe 3D models
Autodesk apps for 3D creation
iMovie with 4K video editing
Pixelmator for PSD photoshop editing
Garageband for music creation
pages, number, keynote
Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Photoshop Fix, Mix
Adobe Line and Adobe Draw

And thats just naming a few, but you enjoy your crossy roads at school buddy :p

Actually, you can blame apple. When $$ was pretty weak compared to €€, did Apple drop their prices in EU? Of course not.

But when $ went strong, did Apple increase the price? Of course they did :)

£679 in uk
$799 in US

Google '799 usd in gbp'

£527.41 :(

Thanks, Apple!

The USA prices don't include State taxes AFAIK.. it's always the same - the US price appears to be a better deal but it's actually pretty much on parity once you add tax.

Examples please? I'm under the impression they set a foreign country price when a product comes out, and it stays until the next cycle.
Like I say, examples of what you're saying would be welcome.

I don't think you need to use this iPad at all to know what to really expect from it, it's basically an iPad Air 2 on steroids

Most things boil down to a "basically" - "The Porsche Boxster is basically a poor mans 911" - Its all about using it first before flinging out generic statements.

And I would skip the Apple keyboard for the iPad Pro. If you need/want a keyboard look at the Logitech one. I've had Logitech keyboards for iPads and the Logitech Pro for the Samsung Note Pro and they are great keyboards. They're not as thin as a smart cover like the Apple keyboard but every review I've read so far of the Apple keyboard is highly critical.

i've tried to make bluetooth keyboards work with ipads, but the minor annoyances break the experience for me. you have to charge it and pair it (annoying if you pair it to multiple devices, it might connect to one but not the device you want it to connect to when you turn it on). you have to bring an extra cable + battery incase keyboard battery goes out. the logitech one i have makes the ipad super bulky and heavy. the keyboard layout takes some getting used to.

very minor annoyances, but enough to say i'm done with bluetooth keyboards. i'm going to give the ipad pro keyboard a shot.

Sorry I don't know. I was passing the store and picked one up with the pencil. They had the keyboards too but I didn't have time for them to unpack them.
did you see their inventory of pencils? a lot left?

8399 DDK here in Denmark plus 829 DDK for the pencil. Or I can just buy a Surface Pro 4 with same storage and RAM for 7699 DDK which includes the pen. Converted, that's a $220 difference. Ehhh.... that's a tough sell considering the lack of iPad Pro optimised apps and how inflexible iOS is compared to Windows 10.

Sadly i think it's time to go Surface.

Anyone got their hands on the new Logitech Create case for the iPad Pro yet ? I know people are picking up their IPPs already so wanted to see what this case looked like in the wild. Wondering how much protection it can offer

I was wondering if it would be worth to pick up an iPad Pro for consumption use (i.e. not professional use). I am aware it's more expensive than the iPad Air, but I am willing to pay the price difference for the 4 stereo speakers, the larger screen and the higher performance. It will be used mostly for browsing, youtube and some gaming. I don't care about the keyboard or the pencil, at least not yet.

The one thing that keeps me from getting one is that it's basically a 1st gen product, so next year it might have even better performance, 3D touch, as well as any possible issues with the new form factor ironed out. I can probably cope with my Nexus 10 for one more year if the 2nd gen iPad Pro is noticeably improved over the 1st gen.

Got mine + the Logitech Keyboard (have one for the iPad 3 and love it). Pencil is not showing available for pickup in Dallas stores, but does show it available for pickup in other areas. Wondering if by the time I walk into the store today for pickup (or even later this morning) if it will be available.

I too live in Dallas. I ordered the Smart Keyboard but was contemplating on the Logitech one as well. The one I have for my iPad is the backlit ZAGG. Was wondering who else might've had a Logitech so I could ask impressions. I know it's personal choice but you think I should cancel the smart keyboard and go for the Logitech instead?

Do you have any pics of the Logitech Create out of the box so we can take a look here ?

Examples? Compare $ vs € 2-3-4 years ago. Compare the prices. You don't need any example, coz there is only one + logic.
