I was in VERY early and the soonest date for pencil and case I saw for shipping was Nov 19, then it went to 20 shortly after, then 5-7 days (oddly less specific even though the same actual shipping range) and I stopped looking when I found a local Apple Store that has it for pick up today...

Yeah. I'm wondering if it's not an issue of them selling out, rather, their ship dates online are delayed. Which is odd. The Pencil and Smart Cover were advertised alongside this, so having delayed shipping is weird as it splits them up. Especially if accessories are in stores today through Friday.

Yes I think so and you were looking on the Apple Store aap thinking no one knows that. ;)

I ordered with the first wave of people and got Monday delivery. I then went back and ordered another 128 + LTE to my local apple store. That was available for pick-up today. So... I canceled my first order, and ordered a smart keyboard and pen for pickup (another apple store 5 miles in the opposite direction).
 
So my smart cover just changed to preparing for shipment. I guess I'll use it as a blanket till my iPad shows up! :p
 
You can check store availability for pencil and Smart Cover. Near me 2 stores have one is 1 hour away and another 40 mins. But I m not opting for it. In Ny and Nj
 
I'm kind of tempted to cancel my order and place another one for Apple Store pickup. But then I risk them not actually having them and screwing up my order. I guess I should be content with getting it Friday.
 
What a bunch of BS.Keep getting this error.We are unable to connect to PayPal at this time. Please select an alternate payment method to complete your order.Have money in my paypal account that I want to use.

Got my Apple pre order in for a space gray LTE model. It's coming Friday. The pencil has a delivery date for 19-27th. I'm hoping for sooner, but I'll live.

I have a sleeve I had around for a MacBook I will use that but this is for I home use, for me
 
I'm posting because I'm getting the "We are unable to connect to PayPal at this time. Please select an alternate payment method to complete your order" error too. Anyone else? is there a way to alleviate this?
 
Just checked my card account and already see pending charge for full amount. This was for a pickup today. Hope these stores actually have them. I assume if it shows pickup today and you select that you are guaranteed one today ? Never done pickup before
