iPad Pro Pre-Order Thread (Official Release)

I have realised that Apple will probably not sell their very first iPad Pros at a discount.
I think I will wait until the discounted prices are up, not really happy with spending a couple of hundred more pounds on a product I can get cheaper on Friday (hopefully).
Well if it's 12 am EST then the Apple Store should be live at that time too. Guess we will see.
I doubt it , contractually I bet they can sell it at 12 because it's technically the 11th. But Apple will prob wait till 3am est. not like it's a threat to them they are the ones providing the iPads
I suppose that makes sense but I would be surprised if Apple allowed any retailer to sell a brand new model before they opened up sales on their end. If this has happened in the past I wasn't aware of it.
Is b&h good to order through? Will get it on or day or so after release day like we do with iPhone while preordering..?
I've always got fast shipping from them...but of course they can only ship what they have. If they get some in on Wednesday, and your preorder gets filled by that batch, then it's very likely you'll see it Friday or Monday. YMMV, etc.
I would also like to know this. I pre ordered on B&H minutes after pre orders went up. I don't mind waiting a day or two but normally wants the process when pre ordering on B&H time wise.
I was wondering the same, I'd love to save the $$$ on tax but not at the cost of waiting weeks for the device. Anyone with past experience?
Even if it was available at launch you save a whopping $20. What's $20 when your already dropping a grand?
I've ordered many times from B&H. They are good. However sometimes they oversell pre-orders. They ship first come first serve. Of course, you can always cancel an order before it's fulfilled.
$20 is worth the same regardless of how much you are also spending. I mean, by your logic, it would be perfectly fine of you to just send me a mere penny every time you spend $10. Honestly. Why don't you just start doing that? What's a penny on 10 bucks right?

I had previously assumed that the discounts would be as significant as with their laptops (around 200 euros). Disappointed to see the iPad Air costing 459.60£ instead of 479£. That hardly anything. Probably won't be much different for the iPad Pro right?
Hard to say...BH said they'd get "some" this week. If you can get in on that batch, you'll be good. Otherwise, you've got to go with Apple. For me, I'm willing to wait a few days past launch to save $100+ in sales tax...I mean, that's the Pencil right there!
If you got in on the early pre-order, then you're probably only talking about a few days, certainly not weeks. They ship in-stock stuff fast. I've bought a few Apple products (and lots of photo gear) from them. They've been good to me.

Save 100+ in sale tax??
Yes...sales tax where I live is 9%. Total for iPP+Smart Cover is $1,138. Tax would've been $102.42.
That's when my iPP (hopefully) arrives from B&H. If I bought from Apple, I'd have to pay sales tax.

Yeah, I was going to order from AT&T (to save the $100) but then I'd have to pay sales tax...so I'll get it from B&H, then sign up for a 2 year, $10/month data plan and get the $100 bill credit.
It might be double-dipping, but what are you gonna do??
