Because your customers have an expectation of you. if you loose the hearts of your customers it impacts your long term brand and profits... you are thinking like traditional big business which fails over time.

I'll be the first to say it: The 13th is no longer "early" in the month. Of course, Apple never said "early," but all the rumors that said it would come out early in November are wrong if it does not come out on or before the 11th. Even the 11th could be disputed as "early," but the 13th is just barely in the first half of the month, and "early" is not synonymous with "first half."
I hope they surprise us and release it this Monday. My guess now is Monday the 16th. If the rumors are pushing it back from the 11th to the 13th, I'll bet it'll be pushed back again. Maybe even to the 20th, but I'm guessing the 16th now.
I don't think it'll sell out on the first day, though. It's a limited market of professional and upscale buyers, and I think Apple would rather push back the release until they have more stock then have customers disappointed because they didn't get to the store early enough on Day 1.
well he said he was in NJ and then it lists printer 0220. not hard for IT dept to figure out what store and who has been access the ipad pro inventory page...it's not rocket science.

Reports are saying Apple plans to be conservative with the iPad Pro... I think it will be a limited release on the first day, it will sell out. The customers that are anxious to get it will get it.. but the customers who are on the fences whether to get it or not will miss out.

I just received an email from Sam's Club for preorders, and when you click through, it has a release date listed as November 13.

This is strange, an announcement probably should be imminent, or they jumped the gun.
So Sam's club gives you a little off ($15) for the base. But you still pay tax.
I think this is odd as well. When will Apple officially open up preorders? Or will it be a first come first serve on the 13th? If that's the case their going to be a ton of these on eBay and Craigslist!
Yeah, nothing is for sure, except that you can get one shipped from Sam's Club on the 13th, and apparently get in line now.

Sam's has their own official dates. 'the' official dates are Apple's, which havent been announced yet.
and if those date's don't match up to Apple's, then you wont get Sam's shipping you one until it's released.

I've just contacted the spirit of Mother Teresa by my psychic powers and she tells me if the rooster crows 3 times and it rains on 3 consecutive days that has nothing to do with the iPad release. Just thought I'd share that.
People who wait will not miss out. If the first run sells out, they'll just have to wait for the second run. And if hardware bugs appear in the first run, they'll be fixed in the second. It's not like the end of the world if some of us have to wait another week, or even another month, though a month is unlikely.
I do not believe that Apple would allow Sam's Club to announce the release date before they do themselves. More likely, Sam's Club is guessing. It's probably a fairly safe guess, but nothing's certain until Apple announces it.
I'm just referring to launch day... Not literally "miss" out on the Pro. Of course, customers will be able to get it on the second run. But I do believe the first couple of months won't see a huge stock of these.
