Preorders late october i heard from Apple worker on iPad Pro review on youtube

Which video is this? i do agree tho it will probably be within the next couple of weeks that pre-orders start. I cant wait :D

Late October.... but where is this filmed? Was this at the Apple event unveiling it?

My German isn't so great, but I understand a lot of key words.

As I suspected, like the iPad Air a few years back, it will be early November. Perhaps pre-orders will be in the last days of this month.

I think Apple will either play 1 of 2 games:

a. sales aren't really that good and they start shipping before Black Friday which means they may discount 2 weeks into launch (not unheard of, similar to last year).

b. Or they either don't want to discount and/or simply won't enough stock for rest of 2015 and they will ship post thanksgiving, possibly slipping to 1st week December (they've made day 30/31 announcements buying more time before).

Now I writing this I realize I'll need to pre-order the device to get one

I was thinking that Apple will start the pre order of the iPad pro b4 10/26 so I will not have money to go and check out the surface 4, but it look like that on 10/26 surface 4 will be in stores and I will at list check it out.

Not until the extended holiday return period kicks in I hope. That is icing on the cake. I could buy it before that since I am a BB rewards member and get 45 days but I do not think it will come out before that anyway.

... Usually there'll be an announcement "Product X will be available on <date>. Pre-orders begin at midnight PDT on <date-(7 days)>." That announcement usually comes a couple of weeks ahead of availability, more or less.

This is what I was wondering about. How far ahead of availability do they generally announce the date? Since I regard "early in the month" as meaning the first week, and the rumors have all said "early November" they have until the end of this week to announce a date, or it won't be "early" in November, if the above two-week window is correct.

It does seem as though they ought to want to have it available before people start shopping for Xmas. That just makes sense. But supply chain logistics could be an issue. They won't want to announce a date until they know they can have enough units available. ("Enough" being whatever number they decide will suit their marketing objectives. I.e., will they want to meet the demand, or create a shortage?)

I'm kind of hyped up about this, which is obviously what they want. I plan on visiting the store the day it's released. I want to see it before I decide whether to buy one. BTW I bought my Mini (first version) the day it was released, and my Air (first version) the day it was released, and there was never any problem. There were no lines at the store and the units were available to buy and carry out.)

I doubt they will wait that long. I say pre-orders will start in the last few days of October with ship dates starting the second week of November.

So far I'm not hearing much buzz about this pricey iPad. This might be an even softer launch than the uneventful Apple Watch launch. When it does begin to sell it'll be hard to tell if it's just the Apple Logo that's selling or the device itself. Now that Apple has such a massive customer base, mostly scewed towards the wealthy or those who'll go deep in debt to have a piece of Apple, it's going to be fun to watch.

I'm guessing preorder date announced soon, towards end of the month. No official launch date, they just start shipping a few days after.

I don't know. After they pushed the watch out to the latest point of "early 2015" I'm on the fence. I have a feeling it could be the end of November :(

Not to mention those who are willing to pay for quality, rather than just buy the cheapest thing available. Actually, my iPad Mini 1 was the same price per square inch of display area as the Nexus 7, which was the other small tablet I was considering.

That's just about the timeframe for the extended holiday return for purchases at BB, usually mid Novemberish.
