I have to smile a bit at all of the angst ... but yet I keep checking as well 
For me, the biggest thing is that I was too quick and successful selling off my iPad Air 2, so now I am finishing my second week without an iPad, and that in itself is justifying the price of the 128GB LTE iPad Pro with keyboard cover. Hope it launches soon, but with age comes (a little) patience

I did this too! Sold my Air 2 about 2 weeks ago. Thankfully I've got a mini 4 to use but I miss the bigger screen. I'd be happy if they just gave us a date!
Yes, they are all so busy with the TV, they even had too hire extra help from Labor Pool.

According to the front page news, the Apple staff needs to be trained by Nov 6th.... so it probably launches November 6th.

They never said pre-orders in October. Just availability in November. As for getting one when it launches, my prediction (as before, based on nothing whatsoever) is that if you pre-order the day they open ordering you will get one, or if you go to an Apple store the day it becomes available, you'll be able to get one. After that, it might sell out the first production run within a few days if they didn't make enough and it turns out to be more popular than I expect. Remember, this is a thousand-dollar gadget, and for most of us, it's a toy. Nobody NEEDS one. A very few people actually have work-related uses for it. Most of us just want a bigger screen for games or video, or want to play with the pen.

I've read elsewhere that Apple likes to get these trainings done well before launch. Based on that, I'm thinking pre-orders beginning November 6th, and the first wave launch arriving a week later on November 13th.
I also think they might do something like Apple Watch, and have demonstration units in retail locations as pre-orders open.
I just saw the rumor on 9to5mac that the service folks have to be trained by November 6. That gives some slight hope for a November 6 release, but far from certain. I'm hoping. But I'm not holding my breath. I think if they were aiming for a November 6 release they'd have set the training deadline for today, October 30. Or November 4 at the latest. It just makes sense to be absolutely certain to complete the training well before the release.
I say there's a 10% chance release will come in the first week of the month, and a 10% chance it will come in the last week of the month, most likely with pre-order on the Monday and release on the Friday, but possibly pre-order on the Friday of the week before except for the first week, since that would mean pro-ordering today, which I give a 0.0002% chance. In whichever week it is released, I give it a 50% chance of being on the Friday, a 40% chance of being on the Thursday, and a 10% chance of being earlier in the week. And I give it a 40% chance for each of the middle weeks.
I assign a 22% reliability to my own predicted probabilities. And I assign a 50% reliability to my assigned reliability of my probabilities. In other words, I'm talking through my hat.
I don't think they'll have demonstration units in the stores ahead of release.

Nooooo i wanted it to launch next week...
i really hoped it would launch next week because i still have holiday then,,, is this really confirmed by apple???I sure hope so. I've been saving up since the announcement and cannot wait. Just wonder if i shouldn't wait until it's in store with this whole ATV fiasco.

No 11th is not good at all!!! I mean.. It is on a wedsensday... The worst day of my week because i have a very long school day!!!!!!! I hope i can make a reservation though...11th is good. At least we have a date now. Makes me nervous when it's up in the air.

Yes i do but i am not sure if the reseller will sell the ipad pro on release day... But if so i will be standing up VERY early in order to buy one... I really feel bad now that i know that the iPad Pro isn't launching next week... Especially because they rumoured yesterday that it might launch 6th of november...
