Well it was to expected that even Apple gets enough after your amount of replacement units.

That was only the second time I'd actually been in a store. But, you're right. At some point the exchanges were going to get cut off. I wish I had ended up with one I was happy with, but I'll see if I can get enough money out of it to look into a Surface Pro or Galaxy TabPro S.

Could you post a picture of the dust? I consider myself pretty compulsive on this type of issues but I've never had dust under my screens, actually my first issue with an Apple Screen was the yellow tint on iPad Pro

Thanks

I can't take a picture, because I sold the iPad on Craigslist. Basically, it just looked like a small piece of dust - visible when you point a flashlight at the screen when it was off, and as a black dot on the screen when it was on. I took a hit on the value of the iPad when I sold it because of the dust.

hi guys thought I would mention my experience..i bought another ipad pro silver 128gb from hong kong ..at the back it had a date of January..the screen was much better than any others I have had but still had white tint on the right hand side and the left side a yellow tint so not even .I decided to get it changed and apple were great the man in apple told me the other one I had was manufacture date November so oldish.the new one in the shop had slightly less yellow but when I got it home its white tint on left side and yellow on right ..in the shop they had a gold 128gb and the screen was perfect I mean I said to them can I take that one even though it was full if finger prints maybe even scratched ..it was superb you could clearly see the difference..they said they cant do tha.

t i decided to put procreate on the ipad air 2 and the ipad pro and noticed something very bad.the red levels on the ipad pro are almost orange they just don't look rite to me ..ill attach a photo to show you..im going to take this one back and see what they can do .its a superb machine and for drawing I think better than Wacom ..I noticed it first in the app notes the red just isn't correct..im so disappointed and I don't think this is being picky ,im going to try and get one that maybe has a late feb code maybe the quality control has gotten a bit better.ive almost given up but im going to carry on as I think the ipad pro is a dream come true for artist s

128GB Wi-Fi Silver here. Mine is going back to the Apple store this evening, hopefully for replacement (Genius bar appointment).

While mine isn't overly yellow throughout, it is noticeably yellow towards the top compared to the bottom, nearest the camera. This is incredibly annoying to me, primarily because most of the websites I visit (heavy surfer) have a white background. You can really notice it in the "Settings" as well, "home button" side is more blueish/white, camera side is yellow.

I don't mind the more yellow tint, nor do I mind the more bluer tint. What I can't stand is when it's not even throughout.

I'll post an update later after my Genius Bar visit.

Cancelled. Psychology is getting the best of me from reading these forums (not the first time). I showed it to five different people, some just as OCD as me, and they couldn't see any inconsistency.

I've stared at it for the last 10 minutes and while I can still see a very slight difference in color near the top/faceTime camera, I've determined I need to relax. I noticed absolutely nothing for the first four weeks of ownership, the only time I started noticing it was after reading about it on this forum :)

Again. Customers should not accept less than the best with Apple, from the packaging to the buttons on the device to the little pieces of wrap holding the earbuds. This is a PREMIUM product and Apple goes to great lengths to express that. It permeates their organization. Steve Jobs even had last say on the thickness and "feel" of the cardboard packaging devices came in. The whole experience, to him, was when you pick up an Apple product from the time it is still in its box your experience was "wow - this is the best - this is premium". Why do you think the devices are so carefully wrapped to protect the screens and finishes? Wrapped I might add WAY more thoughtfully than competitors.

Answer this, what would Jobs say to an employee who told him "we make a consumer product - people should put up with screens with failed pixels and uneven color - its ridiculous to expect perfect"? Yeah. Thought so.

DO NOT SETTLE FOR LESS THAN WHAT STEVE JOBS WANTED YOU TO HAVE.

Apple's screens were crap when Steve Jobs was still alive.

How about a little sense of reality? Perfect screens with these specs aren't possible even at 10 times the price of the iPadPro. So how should Apple even get these hypothetical perfect screens?

to dranix the reality is the ipad pro s in the store are perfect and I mean superior in every way .I use Eizo ColorEdge CG318-4K and I know what im talking about as far as screen quality is concerned..to make this simple for people we are talking uneven screens .colour temp controls would make no difference even if apple made them available .the red and yellow are totally different on the screens in store .even the guys at the apple store agreed with me ..apple store have been superb and they have ordered me another 2 devices .the gold 128gb screen was that good I was willing to buy it off them even though it was full of marks and finger prints..in my book for the price point yellow on one side of the screen and white on the other isn't good and it looks awful in a low lit room .dranix if you think that is acceptable that's your opinion .its about quality control and as the year goes on the screens should improve with a bit of luck
