They need to make those Kids producing these iPads work harder and faster. lol.. just kidding. :D

If this delays only the Wi-Fi version it may force more people to simply wait for the 3G version, since the release dates would be closer.

That wouldn't be good for sales since I'd guess plenty of the competitive (i.e., must have it first) early adopters will go for the wi-fi and then trade up to 3G.

Unless 3G gets delayed too?

"An unspecified production problem at the iPad's manufacturer"
so could the also mean there is some technical issues with the production line?I hope not

His source could be someone getting feed false info so Apple can weed out moles. I believe this is part of Apple's operating procedures.

Your great grandmother could be reborn as a cow. ibelieve this is part of a religion...

It may not be technical at all. It may be biological. Maybe the workers are fed up with the company. Maybe the see this as another slap in their faces. Maybe they see Apple continuing to increase profit and they keep the same wages...

Or Maybe...

A conveyor broke.

You mean a camera? That would be extremely nice. I'd love to see one in this version. It would increase my willingness to buy the first gen product.

Seconded. I'd love to see the last minute addition of a camera, even if it were wifi only.

The American players looked upset after the game. They didn't really think that they were going to win did they?! :D

Probable yes. But 37 overall Medals will do fine, as this will most likely not be broken by any nation in the next 4 Winter Olympiads.

It was nice to see Canada win the Gold count. They did a nice job hosting, and helps justify the $117 million CAD spent to ensure an overall medal count victory.

But heck, it's really about the athletes. No Political Egos like Putin's, right?

Just wonder if I could have streamed with Flash on an iPad?

Except we are talking about China here. In China workers who go on strike are considered insane and are sent to a "mental facility," where they get plenty of shock therapy to cure what ails them. If they are lucky to survive they come out refreshed and ready to work for pennies a day.

I find this kinda strange, there's something in the force that's not right - you don't think the "analyst" is confused with this story do you?!? Two similar stories on the same day....?

See here: Tablet Delay

It's always a risk buying first gen products. I've never had any problems with them myself, but I know lots who have!

Will Apple make an announcement if it's true.

I other words, will silence from Apple disprove the rumor?

All in the US are lucky, here in the UK we won't be getting any ipad until June/July and we still have no idea how much it will cost. This is according to Apple telesales today. :):)

Limited supply. Gotta get one now. I wasn't planning on getting one until later but I think i'm going to just go ahead and sell a few things since I want to explore its educational usage.

Hard to get = easy to show off :D

This is just a marketing ploy to get fanboys more excited about the over sized iPod touch nobody really wants.

I'll just get the 16GB base model, then if I find I'm running a bit low, I'll just buy a extra memory card and use the built in slot to upgrade up to 32 or 64GB.

Oh, no I won't this is Apple we are talking about :D

Sorry, I was thinking of "normal" devices that allowed you to add more memory at a later date :p

Or they want to create a culture where they are hard to come buy, thus giving the appearance to the uneducated customer that the product is very popular.

Artificially limiting supply to increase demand? Surely not.

Indeed, it is a very old marketing trick and ie. worked flawlessly with the wii.

It is just to help push pre-orders, or they've had to open them all up to stick the 3 dollar camera in them

This is just a marketing ploy to get fanboys more excited about the over sized iPod touch nobody really wants.

Pretty much the plan. Limit the inventory like Nintendo did with the popular Wii and people who are on the fence will pre-order or join the crowds who are standing in ridiculous lines.

Apple, put a frickin' USB port and Card reader on that thing.
Don't make us buy those stupid strap-on adapters that plug into the doc connector. That is just stupid.

The iPad won't be any uglier or "magical" for it. Nothing is uglier than your 10 year old doc connector, so just do it already.

Sarcasm *whoosh!* Jeez, now I had to go and sign up just so I could add this doofus to my ignore list. See what you made me go and do, lex750? Now if only macrumors would make it possible to not see people on my ignore list when their drivel is quoted by somebody else, I'd be in heaven. I don't want to *ever* see the trolls on my ignore list. So everybody do me a big favor and don't quote him/her/it.

And all you conspiracy folks who think it's being done on purpose to raise demand...you are all a bit quick to jump on the "Apple is Evil" bandwagon based upon a rumor, and without a shred of evidence (child labor notwithstanding). I think I will wait for some sort of actual honest-to-goodness hard data before I pass judgment about this. You can all go put on your tinfoil hats. Good grief.

What are you talking about? International iPad shipping end of March... Stevie said it himself at the KeyNote.... the only thing Americans can laugh at is the ridiculous prices the UK has too pay for Apple products
