I spoke with them earlier and they said their shipment is coming in Saturday and will be shipping orders Monday...possibly not true? Is it not worth the hassle dealing with MacMall to save $37 of tax on a 16GB 3G model?

Yep I noticed they had the touch, do you know how long it was before they got it? They don't have the iPad 1 though, but the iPad 2 seems to have a different distribution model.
They must only have 1 person handling the phone orders. Has anyone gotten through? What was the name of who you dealt with?
I forget it started with a F and it was on their chat which isn't live anymore but I am getting the feeling there is only one person working too! Didn't they know they were gonna get a billion call? And my time is now at an hour and 6 minutes on hold...luckily it's unlimited nights for my minutes
I tryed Macmall when the macbook air came out and I got the same run around it will be in this day that day blah blah. The sales lady was very rude and I told her i would buy it from apple she is like fine you wanna pay tax do it I was like wtf lady back off. I even went as far to order cause they promised me a delivery date to later find out it was backordered canceled it and never ended up getting one. She would then call me nonstop to try to get me to order. I dont care what people say this company has very aggressive tactics to get your money and will say whatever to do it. Really worth it to save 35 bucks not to me.

Amazon took pre-orders for the iPod Touch 4G (I bought one there back in September), but not the iPad. I read that the iPad was made available on Amazon several months after the launch date. If you want to buy the iPad 2 from Amazon, I am guessing it will be a long while.
PA, only 6% sales tax and none of that recycling BS. After reading the comment above I'm about to just order from Apple and say screw MacMall especially if they are gonna pull our legs with availability. Anyone else feel like it's not worth it?
If it was important to them they would have more than one person taking phone orders. Clearly my call isn't important...hour and fifteen minutes in now. If I don't get through in 15 minutes I'm just gonna order from Apple and pay the tax.
Indeed. I'm at 61 minutes now. Starting to wonder if I should just try to get one in store tomorrow.
