iPad2 at MacMall

Latest I heard is that MacMall is getting their next shipment in on March 30th. If you ordered on the 11th, you have a good shot at being in that batch.
 
There is still hope! MacMall told me on the 21st that it would be 4-5 weeks. The Ipad 2 shipped the same day and was delivered on the 22nd.
 
I agree, I called them on 21st and they said it will take 4-5 weeks and today morning I got an email with the shipping conformation! I had placed an order on 12th March.... UPS does not show any info for the shipment yet, but I am hoping they update it soon.... keeping the fingers crossed.... so hang in there...
 
Ordered my Verizon 64GB Black on the 15th, order status changed from "Back Ordered" to "Shipped" today.
Got tracking number but not in UPS system yet.

Great News 9 days instead of a possible 4-5 weeks mine is same specs and order date but AT&T so hopefully I get some good news sooooon.

I'm paying with a Macmall cc for $20 discount on top of no tax free ship so don't mind the wait especially if they are going out in 10 days anyone else order AT&T have order shipped?

I just received a call from CS at MacMall. They have the 32gb black Verizon in stock!
They were going to ship overnight to me free if I was interested, but I ordered a ATT which they do not have in stock at the moment.
 
Alright, today's the 30th. The day MacMall said they're getting a new shipment in. As someone who's been waiting since the morning of the 11th (and was originally told it would take 3 days), let's see if they follow through!

Looks like we have the same (64GB WiFi) iPad on order. Ordered on the morning of the 11th and was told it would ship in a week. I'm trying to keep my hopes neutral...but please ship today (or tomorrow)!
 
Update!!!

HDMI adapter delivered Wed the 30th.

Black Leather Smart Cover delivered Thurs 31st.

Good News for iPad 64GB AT&T 3G orders!!!

My iPad order just changed to "In Process" order was placed 16 days ago. 2 1/2 weeks not to bad for an expected delivery originally listed as 4-5 weeks.

Also Im in D/FW Texas and the shipments come out of Memphis, TN so only takes 1 days travel accross I-20 for mine to get here.

I should get it Monday afternoon :D

No such luck. sigh. It's almost as if the 64 GB customers are getting penalized.
 
Shipped!!!

WooHoo as expected my order was in processing this afternoon and now listed in transit from UPS Memphis, TN 6:28 P.M.

If it gets to D/FW tonight I might actually get it tomorrow.

Good Luck to those still waiting hopefully they get em out soon.

I decided to just place an order through MacMall. Couldn't exchange my 16 for a 64 this morning so I just returned it.

Either way I dont' mind waiting, but good thing is no tax so that's extra $70 saved! And you can't beat free shipping :)
 
Thought I'd share my order details in case anyone else has a similar iPad 2 ordered. Placed order for 32GB AT&T Black on the 25th, shipped overnight today. Not bad considering their original delivery estimate on the phone was April 15th.
 
Ditto. I ordered a 64g ATT black on the 29th (after canceling my JR order) and it's on its way here, shipped yesterday.

OK as expected received my iPad 2 64GB 3G AT&T Black Monday afternoon April 4Th. Order placed Mar 15th with expected ship time of 4-5 weeks.

Only took 20 days and another great surprise the $20 credit already post to my account ;) I signed up for the Macmall CC to get additional $20 off the purchase and no pay/interest for 6 months will have that paid off easily.

No Tax, Free Shipping & $20 discount!!!

Total cost for the iPad $809

Priceless :D
 
Verizon models in stock

Right now on macmall.com, I see a whole bunch of Wi-Fi + Verizon iPad 2s in stock.

I just placed an order for a iPad 2 32 gig black wi-fi with them as my J&R and B&H orders still haven't come thru. Be careful as they tried to charge me $25 for shipping because the the item wasn't in stock. :confused: When I balked on that and said I didn't want to order, they offered to drop it to $15 or give me free overnight if I get AppleCare. No thanks.

I told them to search for iPad 2 and look even at the OOS items, including the one I wanted Even the OOS ones at http://www.macmall.com/s?rch&q=ipad 2&removedLicenseFilter=true&includeImage=true show "free shipping". He claimed he didn't see it :confused: but his supervisor told him to honor it.

If B&H doesn't ship by Sunday, April 17th, I'm canceling w/B&H due to their Passover closer.

Strange??? I placed my back order iPad 2 and it was understood up front I was to get free shipping. I'm surprised you are having trouble?

Try calling a different rep and just confirm up front that yes you will be getting free shipping if you order a iPad 2. Let me know if you still have trouble I will call my Macmall contact see what I can do if that will help you.

FYI I did not order any special Apple Care or warranty add on just the iPad 2, smart cover & HDMI adapter.

I had trouble ($25 shipping, then $15, contrary to what the web site says) but he backed down after he claimed his supervisor told him to honor it.

I ordered the iPad 2 only and no extras. No need to ping the Macmall contact. It was resolved before I got off the phone, but it seemed shady...

I know I've bought things from Mac/PC Mall at least once before but it was done online and I had no trouble.
