Excuse me but are you the person using my iPad? I took my iPad to the Genius Bar a few times for this very reason. Ran diagnostics and said everything was fine. Yet I could open up a web page faster on my iPhone 4S, MB pro and my iphone 5 and my iPad would just hang there waiting to open page. Restored software, etc. nothing worked. Had to constantly power it down to get pages to open. iPad 3 was under powered with the A5x chip to run the retina display as I never had this issue with my iPad 2.

So unless you were in my home using my iPad and seeing the issues I encountered its really unfair of you to comment unnecessarily on the fact that I am happy to receive my new iPad.

Sorry to hear you having so much trouble with you ipad but I am not using yours, Im using mine and its flawless.

It's not labeled iPad 4. It's called iPad with retina display, same as the last model. Apple isn't attaching numbers to their products anymore.

You missed the larger point, but since you want to be so literal, Apple didn't call it an "update", but the "new iPad", making it de facto iPad 4. In fact, Apple did label it "iPad Fourth Generation." It's prominently displayed at the event.
