Nearly 4000 mah battery and 4gb of ram on iOS is like 10,000 mah and 12gb of ram on Android so no worries here ;)
[doublepost=1568772143][/doublepost]Also, I’ll let you guys know if my iPhone 11 Pro Max 512gb has 6gb of ram or not. If that one doesn’t, then non of the less expensive modes will have 6gb ram.

Apple reserves 1TB iPad Pro 2018 for 6GB of RAM. I am confident Apple is doing the same for iPhone. But I am looking forward to see your result.

The Chinese filing indicates none of them have 6 GB RAM.
Furthermore, the Antutu benchmark posted earlier that showed 4 GB RAM was a 512 GB model.

It's 4 GB RAM across the line this year folks, plain and simple.

I think that will change with the iPad Pro 2019/2020.

Fuuu 3000mah for Pro, I thought it was closer to 3200. And 4000 on the Max??

Not gonna lie, I'm kinda regretting going for regular Pro now...that battery is gonna be a good longevity buffer

The 4gb RAM is good to know. I plan on keeping my XS Max until the 2021 model is released. Trying something different rather than upgrading annually. By the time that iPhone is released I’ll upgrade my Airpods and Apple Watch (Series 4).

4GB ram is plenty for iOS. Anyone asking for more only cares about seeing it on a spec sheet.

My Xs max is plenty fast and I have never thought “gee I need more ram”. On my desktop? Sure! Here? Why? Worse battery?

just silly.
Did you ever use an iPhone 6?

Yes, for longevity. What's enough to make it smooth today may not be enough in a few years. However, I think 4 GB would be fine for a few years... for an iPhone that is... and some people don't keep their phones that long anyway.

4 gigs is not enough. Was not enough last year and is not enough now. I’m tired of my phone reloading apps and webpages smh

Well, maybe 6GB won’t be necessary until Apple adds a time of flight camera to next year’s iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. I know iPhone 6 owners may have something to say and time will tell if 4GB was enough. Oh well, a lot of big new features/upgrades including a Qualcomm (not Intel) modem coming next year.:)

I really think the iPhone 12 series in 2020 could still be 4 GB. iPhones have been 4 GB for only 2 years.

Meanwhile, iPad Pros have been 4 GB for 4 years, so they're overdue for an update.
A time of flight camera may necessitate 6GB of RAM on next year’s iPhone 12 Pro/Pro Max. If there is an iPhone 12 (or 11s), it may stick with 4GB even if it gets an extra camera.

I would like to point out a pretty interesting discovery i’ve made;
Using TENAA’s site to find the iPhone 11, I found that they have listed that it uses an OLED panel, which obviously isn’t factual
I think with this glaring oversight by them, there is a chance that maybe they made a similar mistake with them listing the 11 Pro having only 4GB of ram when it could have 6GB, of course I have no way to prove that so it’s just speculation 0EA07BC4-7DF7-40BA-8009-5F6C945B2C08.jpeg

This tired argument? Apple supports old devices for 5 years back right now, period.

Do you see anyone complaining iOS13 is a laggy mess on older much lower RAM devices? The 5 years OS updates will far outlast the average upgrade cycle of the user (if just under 3 years is a true number).

It's not a tired argument. The iPhone 6 was the first iPhone to receive fewer yers of support than its predecessor and it was directly related to Apple skimping on ram that year and using 1GB for the 3rd year straight.

The more ram in a device, the better that device will run down the track.

Not saying that 4GB is not enough ram, but ram is important for longevity both in terms of length of support and how well said device runs on future iOS versions.

It seems the 11 should have better benchmarks than both pro’s due to the same ram running a sub 1080p screen. The 11 battery is even bigger than the 11 pro battery. Makes me wonder if I should cancel my 11 pro and get an 11 if it’s a better phone with better specs.

Good pickup. What does the rest of the text say?

Interestingly the 2020 model is supposedly OLED.

Real-world examples:
- My 6S had constant RAM problems, with 2GB.
- I got the X, which has 3GB. I ran into RAM issues occasionally. Within a year, it became more often.
- We have 4GB RAM for 2yrs in a row. We KNOW various iOS features (especially camera-related) and entire releases are linked to RAM amount.

If I switch out of an application for 5 seconds, and it reloads when I get back in, do not tell me that iPhones have plenty of RAM.

*sigh* so the pro max gets a bigger battery increase? why apple, why? I don't want to have a huge impractical phone, I just hate this form factor. Why wouldn't you give the owners of the smaller phone the same kind of increment...

Appears to be a case of some people feeling specs on paper are more important than actual usability. I don’t care how much RAM it has, as long as it runs fast and buttery smooth and accomplishes all I need and want the phone to do. If it runs that way whether or not it has 4 or 6 gigs of RAM, does it matter?

I think the people who actually care about RAM, are only a small percentage. Sometimes, when I hear such statements, I feel that they are getting confused with Android , hehehehe

Of course there is more to it than you are letting on. It's fine to have it sufficient for what you do now. The question is have they built in enough future proofing for what you want to do tomorrow?
What happens when iOS15 comes out, will lack of RAM prove to be an issue?

There are reviewers on twitter saying their Apple supplied 512gb for reviewing have only 4gb of ram

The Xs and XS Max have already 4GB too.

My sister have a iPhone 7 and 2GB of Ram and is fast, Apple Optimize hardware with Software, is no necessary to more ram.

“By Innovation Only” not compatible on iPhone with a notch screen. The customer doesn’t need to worry about the new model of iPhone battery capacity.
