That's not an actual pre order its an order for whoever the phone is through to order it from the carrier

Everyone got their favorite and preapprovals done? Although preorders are staring 5 hours later than usual, the Apple Store could go down before too long.

So glad that I don't have to wake up at 2 AM CST for this pre-order and glad they moved it to 7 am CST. I normally wake up at 6 am on Fridays so this won't be an issue for me and at 7 am will be pre-ordering.
Even if it's a relatively minor upgrade, I'm excited for the 11! Been nearly 2 years since I got to experience an Apple preorder event and I'm ready for a fresh phone.
Also, since this is the first preorder that will start at 8AM EST, it's also my sister's first iPhone preorder. Pretty funny how nervous she is about placing the preorder and getting the model she wants!
This will also be the first time I *don't* get the highest-end model. Just can't justify paying over $1200 this time around for an extra camera and slightly better screen.

Happy pre-order day eve friends! Haha this thread is LIT, 19 pages and counting! This is my 7th year being an “I get the new iPhone every year and preorder as soon as it becomes available” nerd that my family and friends don’t understand! But I know y’all do!

The calm before the storm. Stress and elation when preorder goes live. Over the weekend, we’ll see the nerves start to fray as some don’t see changes in order or shipping status, desperate pleas for help in determining the correct flights to track, escalating to full blown panic as we get closer to Friday, then a sudden drop in activity as orders arrive. I love it so.

I live in the Mountain Time Zone, and I use to love staying up until 1AM to preorder. Id usually have a preorder party at a friends house and we would both be sitting there with our MacBooks, iPads, and iPhones seeing if Verizon or Apple Store went live first. The new 6AM time will be a bummer, but it gave me greater appreciation for the Eastern Time folks who had to be up (or stay up until) at 3AM to preorder. Starbucks will be my best friend tomorrow at work.
