I got that garbage too! So nice of them to wait until the very last minute when anticipation is at the maximum to rip our hearts out with a spoon :(
Totally agree... Looks like there are more people like us.. I googled the apple email text and it took me to similar thread.

I just got a text from UPS with a link to the GPS website showing the truck is 15 miles south of me. Looks like yall might get a text too once it's closer?

i must be phrasing my question wrong:(

people that got your phones already: what day last week (or this week) did the pending charge show up on your card ? i’m trying to figure out when i’ll get my phone
My tax showed pending on Sunday and just disappeared yesterday, and I didn't see any posted charges yet.

Yeah right. They aren’t compensating me for showing delivery on the 20th and then changing it to a later date in the confirmation email I got 30 minutes later.

the date shown during ordering isn’t a guaranteed date. It’s an estimate at the time the page was loaded. Apple doesn’t hold $1000+ phones during the order process like ticketmaster does with their tickets. Your phone is held after completion of the transaction. With millions of people ordering phones at the same time as you the ship dates got pushed back during the order process. What financial loss did you suffer that you feel deserves compensation? Apple doesn’t compensate because someone can’t be patient to wait for their phone to arrive. My guess is that you have a perfectly good iPhone that will work more than sufficiently until the new one gets there. Instant gratification will have to wait. #1stWorldProblems

Only ray of hope was on Twitter. Someone said hours later they got the ready for pickup email, so I'm hoping for that by 730p :)

This is the line for 11:30 - 12:30 pickup at Apple. They’re sticking to the check in time.

Did UPS tell you that Apple requested a change?
Yes, exactly. I never heard of that happening before!! My pending charges went through this week, plus my phone was literally on the UPS truck this morning! I just wrote a post that this might be about a 2nd order I had placed and tried to cancel with Apple. They couldn’t guarantee they could cancel before a tracking number was generated, which is exactly what ended up happening. Nothing to do at that point but wait for the phone to arrive, then take it straight to an Apple store to cancel/return it. MAYBE this weird notice is because Apple is cancelling my order FOR me, retroactively. If that’s the case, that would be a new service from Apple, and seriously dope AF!

File a lawsuit or small claims. Would love to see this episode on Judge Judy.

My coworker just got his max pro. He’s coming from an XS Max. He’s pretty disappointed in the lack of 3D Touch. It’s a pretty big speed difference vs haptic touch. It’s a good second slower or so. Curious to hear others thoughts on that feature.

Awesome... Let's see if I get that email. Otherwise, I am planning to go to Tim Cook's house and sit in front of it till I receive the phone (Just kidding... LOL :)

I don’t think they owe me any compensation. And BTW, the order page doesn’t say Estimated Delivery, it says Delivers On. Yes, it’s a first world problem, but Apple tells me the delay was due to the storm in SE US last week. It very well could have affected shipments arriving from Shenzhen that have to clear customs.

My statement was more about Apple doesn’t owe the original poster any compensation either. It would be a nice gesture on the part of Apple is they did.

If I wanted to wait until after launch day, I wouldn’t bother to get up and be ready to order. This is the first year it was 7am local time. In years past, I had to be up and ready at 2 am for midnight pacific time.
