I am having the same issue with the in store pickup. I normally have it every year right before they charge my card and change it to “processing”. I just chill until mid day and then start smashing the refresh button lol

So did mine. It'll go back to processing. The servers are slammed. The app says on hold and the Apple store on the web says processing. It's all good. This happens every year.

Ok I am curious I ordered and got a Phone 11 Pro Max 512GB Space Gray for September 27-October 1. It took me til 7:08 CDT to get in and after having to for some reason reenter my payment info I thought was preapproved I got the order and finally took 30 minutes for the order to be officially not on hold and processing.
My question is if the Phone 11 Pro Max 512GB models are limited and more got them than they expected? Did anyone get these for the 20th? Just a matter of curiosity I sorta wondered about going whole hog on memory this year as I usually do 256GB in models it was offered in.
Seems that folks with 256GB got some 11 Pro Max's for 20th but wondering if my premonition about the availability of 512GB might have been right ;-)

What the heck. When i ordered it at 805am the page said 9/20 delivery, now the email says 9/27-10/1. What the heck happened?

This happened to me for about 5 minutes or so... I believe it is just due to an influx in traffic on the website... shortly after the website loaded properly and everything showed up for my order just the same as before.
I had a problem in the past where somehow my order wasn't associated with my Apple ID so it didn't show up under my Orders. If you go in to search your order with the order number, you should find it. I think then there's a way to associate your Apple ID.

My case order said it wasn’t tied to an Apple ID the other day but then it came back

Apple doesn't hold phones. Once the order is 100% submitted it goes into an order queue. On occasion during that few second process the ship date gets bumped back due the to enormous amount of orders that are coming in. It just gives you another week to dream and anticipate about your phone, and delays the novelty wear off period by a week 🙂

They were doing finishing touches at eight; it was up at around 8:01:30. Think it took less than a minute to finish two preapproved orders. Longest part was picking the store and time slot. Got Midnight Green 64GB Pro Max for me and Gold 64GB Pro Max for my wife both with slots of 730-800p on the 20th. No hold on my card. Does that only happen for current members of iUP?
So, that's not the attitude to have in this thread. This is all about strategies to make the preorder process as smooth as possible. I suggest you check that at the door.

I was able to get my 512GB Pro Max Midnight Green. Arrives 9/20. My order was confirmed right at 8am though.
Ordered iPhone Pro Max 512GB, Green color. To be picked up at the Apple store on the 20th.

Same here got my mail 10 minutes ago about 45 minutes after the apple email confirming my order is processing and with my arrival date.

mine are stuck on order placed as opposed to processing. I guess it will take time to update. servers are getting slammed. can't view other orders at this time.
