Ok, checked online. Its the wife's...used her phone number as reference. Mine has not generated a label yet.
Looks like my phone just received its origin scan (officially in UPS’ hands).

My wife's phone is on the same departure! Just "patiently" awaiting my shipment now.

Mine shows the same! It’s funny how the label was created on 9/15 but shipped on 9/14. Haha

In nyc you can do same day courier delivery from any of the apple stores for $9. A guy will bring the phone to your address.
So you can buy someone on the apple app, choose courier delivery and get it a few hours later.

Usually on iPhone launch, it won’t show shipped until Wednesday or Thursday when it will be in Louisville or maybe your local distribution center.

Usually not for at least another 24 hrs. After they clear customs I believe they start to change on the apple store.

My order now has a tracking number. The UPS reference number(s) were my 10 digit phone number and/or the first 8 digits of my Apple order number: W720xxxx. It was created at 6:09 AM
Status: Order Processed: Ready for UPS

Funny on Apple website still says preparing to ship
But just checked UPS my choice and it departed and in their hands
Funny as mine does not show up in My Choice yet. Found it by searching my phone number
First time in pre-ordering, I am traveling to three destinations for work the next 10 days so I am picking up three items in three different Apple store locations! LOL All three orders show “Order in Progress”.

Well I don’t know if the UPS Website is a little misleading. I downloaded the UPS app and was able to see it that way. But on the website, it doesn’t show it yet.

Have to admit I didn’t read every page of this forum so sorry if this is a duplication. Thought I’d post this in case some of you don’t have this info.
If your phone status has changed to "Shipped", you can view the invoice on the Apple site.
That invoice has the serial number on it.
Go to Apple.com, then pick the ORDERS page (the little "shopping bag" icon at the far right on the home page... go to your orders page). Now, log in, and find your iPhone order... and click on Print All Invoices to see your shiny new iPhone serial number.
You can look up the week of manufacture and factory here, using the serial number:

If your phone number isn’t working for UPS tracking, use your order number but subtract the last two numbers/letters. Say your order number is: W123456789, you'd put in: W1234567 - make sure to use the tracking by reference feature.

When you see the time that your flight leaves China (make sure that the UPS or FedEx info is showing it per China time, or do the math), and you can usually narrow it down.
