Carrier iPhone 11, Pro, Pro Max (2019) AT&T US Pre-orders, Orders and Delivery Status Thread

AT&T store rep (South Austin) said they got 0 iPhones to sell in stores today. So I stuck with the space grey! Getting the public beta loaded, wiping and attempting an iCloud restore.

So the Mrs decided this morning she wanted to upgrade her 8 to the 11 in white. Checked my local ATT store and they had some in stock (64GB) so ordered it online and got the ready for pickup email about 10 minutes later. Headed there shortly. Only downside was that their trade in offer was substantially lower than Apple, so we will trade it in for an Apple gift card or sell outright next week.
 
I am on AT&T Next or whatever they're calling it these days... This is my first year of it. Once I get my new Pro Max delivered today and transfer everything... How do I return my old phone to AT&T? Will they ship me a box and return label?

Yes, the return process is very simple. And they only want the iPhone, you get to keep the charger, cable, etc.

Oh...keep the text they send you acknowledging they got your old iPhone. One year, I got the text, then another saying they DIDN’T get my old one. I went to an AT&T store and, based on the first text, they credited my account for the “missing” iPhone. Whew!! :D
 
Update: my wife just received her iPhone 11, the FedEx delivery driver saw that she was missing a package (mine) but no other info than that. Still no phone for me today, maybe tomorrow or Monday as long as FedEx can track it down. I’ll watch and enjoy vicariously through you and my wife.
 
Ordered 16 Sept. at 4 PMish. Delivered about an hour ago.

11 Pro Max M. green 512 GB

I ordered the same phone at noon and nada.....no tracking, no delivery date (was 9/20) but disappeared, and has been "preparing to ship" since Tuesday.... :(
 
One thing I noticed during the first 24 hours after ordering was that if I used the “Order Status“ link in the original email confirmation from ATT, it wasn’t updating the status. If I used this link https://www.att.com/checkmyorder/omhub.rt the status was updating. You may have to use the email link to get the correct order number to copy and paste.
 
Still waiting for FedEx to get here with my Pro Max 256 MG, which isn't an issue as I'm also waiting for UPS to arrive with work samples. Both of the drivers are probably hanging out a couple blocks away knowing I'm waiting for them...

ordered 11 Pro 64 silver at 5:07 AM sept 13, stuck in "preparing to ship" for a couple days, finally shipping today from Indiana, and not getting it today, shipped FedEx today for arrival 9/21 before noon. not confident this is going to happen and have to have someone standing by to receive it tomorrow.
AT&T delivering to many orders placed days after mine. not happy
probably won't order through AT&T again

Definitely frustrating seeing peoples orders after mine filled as well but happy they did get their devices. What I seem to notice watching everyone on here is that the Pro Max 256GB Space Gray one seems to come up an awful lot on the ones not showing shipped. So it appears to be a lot around the model ordered as well that might be driving delays. I ordered the Pro Max Space Gray 256GB.
 
I hate AT&T! How hard is it after 10 years to get pre orders right!? The chat people give you different answers and nobody has any of the tracking numbers. Def reserving through apple next time.
 
I just want something!! Just sitting at "preparing to ship" with no ETA info or anything? "Preparing to ship" should mean they have my phone......Is someone at Fedex just playing with it? And AT&T support is just so happy to help......ummmmm......if you just don't know just tell me that and transfer me to someone that does know something. UGH!!

I think “preparing to ship” means that there’s still enough inventory to fill your order. It should show “backordered” if the well runs dry.

Yes! I’m fine with delivery next week or even the week after if there’s an estimate. No estimate is worse :mad:
 
Has anyone walked into AT&T and cancel their preorder then get the phone in the store instead? Or would it be too complicated to do all that? My shipping dates are from September 23rd to 30th and I am kind of getting impatient.
So my iPhone Pro 11 512Gb did get delayed 10/19. So I went to the ATT store around 9 and there was only 1 kid in line. While we were chatting, a fed-ex van showed up and dropped off 8 boxes of iPhone. We asked whats inside, he said he didnt know what phones they were. The store opened, I was 2nd to be helped, and the store only received 8 iPhone 11 Pro Max in 256Gb in Space Gray. So I canceled my order right there and took the Max. SOOO HAPPY as the big SCREEN is awesome with the OLED display. And I had the iPhone X and still keeping it as a spare.

So for those of you that have ordered more than one device where one shows shipped with tracking at the other shows Preparing to ship. I can confirm that they did not send both phones only one. I had ordered a iphone 11 64GB and the Pro Max 256GB Space Gray. The Pro Max still shows preparing to ship and the delivery I received is for the 11 64G. Even though ATT made it clear that both were still arriving today. As expected that was not the case and I have no idea when or if the other device will even show. I dont think ATT does either and they are just providing false information of timing and wrong expectations to a lot of customers. Not a good first impression switching to ATT from another carrier after 10 yeas. I cant even use the new phone for my kid or it will port over his number and affect my ability to cancel. Great customer services I must say.
 
I ordered my phone at 10:00AM EST on the 13th, and this hasn’t updated since last night. I got the tracking number around 11AM yesterday, but this was the first scan. I was supposed to get it today... AT&T 256gb grey PM. Kinda bummed.

Got my 11 right before I left for work - set it to restore from my backup and left it. I can't wait to get home and play with it!
