For the first time ever, I am going to miss a launch day delivery. I ordered by 8:02 EST and got Sept 27th for a Forest Green iPhone 11 Pro. Oh well. Here's to hoping they are able to get it to me earlier.

So I ordered my AT&T iPhone on the Apple app and I was able to get the old Next payment plan that was based on 24 months! I’ll also be able to upgrade at 12 months without that insane $5/month “privilege” fee! Seems like a strange oversight that one payment plan is available one Apple’s site and a different one on AT&T’s when they are both financed by AT&T. Anyways, if that’s anyone’s preferred option, it’s still available.
It’s the same price... 52.04/mo for att 24mo with next every year or 47.04 on att +5/mo

I'm in for the Max but in my hurry, I ended up shipping to home instead of store. Anyone know if Apple still requires a signature? I've been shipping to store for years because of this. Can't believe I F'd that up this time.

Well, I wasn't expecting it to be this bad. Here is my preorder experience.

Apple App launched about 2 minutes late for me after continuous force quitting and restarting. After about 5 mins of the app finally being online the ship date for the iPhone Pro Silver 256GB went to October 4th and I was like hell with that and went over to ATT.

For 30 mins I tried placing my order on ATT (App and Desktop)

Pages kept freezing.
Error with my payment.
Blank Screen after check out.
Place order button disappeared.

In my opinion, this was one of the hardest preorders for me personally since the iPhone 6 Plus and I prepare for these preorders days before they go live.

Regardless, after 30 mins and starting to accept failure this magically appeared in my check order status and I received my email and my bank was deducted $109.25 for the Tax. Delivery Date of September 19th!

If you’re referring to a 256 Pro Max, at $1250, then on a 30 month plan it’s $41.66 plus the $5/mo fee. That’s $46.66.

I might be wrong. I haven’t actually bought one with the new Next plan. I actually ordered a 64 Pro Max and it’s going to be $45.80 with no upgrade fee to trade it in after 12 months.

8:02am order time.
iPhone 11 Pro Max RG.
8:11am Received email that “I left something in my cart”.
Checked order status and it shows an order.
8:13am “you left something in your cart” email.

Just placed my order through the ATT Premier site. The site was very slow but I managed to get the 11 Pro Max 256 Silver for 9/20 delivery.

Normally I get mine through telecom provider, but this year I was able to pay for it outright and I got the iPhone 11 Pro Max 256gb fancy-green color. Used apple.nl, it went smooth, 14:00hrs the site was still down for a few minutes 'dotting our i's' msg, but the page then loaded just fine, order went fine, paying went smooth with iDeal. And the "order history page" is the only thing that didn't show right away. To be expected. The email arrived at 14:06 after completing the payment, and now it said 'waiting confirmation of payment' or whatever dutch translates to english. And then 15 minutes later it changed to "we received your payment stuff and your order is being prepared".

Right now at 15:00hrs, the page no longer loads, apple.nl and order pages etc are all Ooops, error. things. Glad i was able to try it at 2pm

A thing to note perhaps, while it says that it will give us a better delivery date once the payment is received and confirmed and all that, during order, it said september 20th a few times for delivery. That would be nice if that's actually the case.

Ok, that's my experience this time around. Glad I finally got a new phone.

128 Black iPhone 11
256 Space Grey iPhone 11 Pro Max

I ordered through AT&T, and I have no idea when the expected delivery dates are. The site was so jammed that it was only half loading so I was never able to see estimated times, and the email confirmations provide no information but the order number.

The link provided earlier to check the order status doesn't appear to work for me.

Oh well, guess it will be a surprise when they show up?

What are the chances of Sams Club still offering the AT&T Next Every Year by next weekend when we go to pickup?

Had a lot of trouble with the ATT Premier page and only managed to get the first upgrade at 8:08EST but still got the 9/20 delivery date. I had more trouble this year than last, if that's any indication of more people upgrading.

I was on AT&T Next every year, and on Apple store it gave me the same option with no mention of $5 a month.

Installment Plan:
AT&T Next Every Year
Down Payment:
$0
Monthly Installments:
$35.38/mo. for 24 months
Upgrade to a New iPhone:
After 12 payments
One-Time Upgrade Fee:
$30.00
AT&T Next Every Year monthly installments and rate plan charges will appear on your next AT&T bill. Additional features and/or price adjustments related to your account are not reflected in these prices. Your new iPhone will be activated on your existing AT&T service plan. If you want to change your voice, messaging or data services, visit att.com after you receive your new iPhone. If you cancel your AT&T wireless service, your installment agreement balance will be due. Requires 0% APR 24-month installment agreement and eligible rate plan.

So I ordered the 11 pro max 256 thru ATT site.

Only allowed me to choose the 30 month plan with the 5.00 next up. 41.66+5.00=46.66. If the rules are you have to pay 50% off of the phone to upgrade next year I wont be close to paying 50% this time next year with the new iphone ?

Am I missing something?

The last couple of years I been doing the ATT Next 24 months and for the same 1250 I was paying 52.08.

Not correct. When buying on AT&T’s website you are forced into their “revised” installment program. 30 Month installment agreement plus the $5/mo Next Up charge. The installment contract is 6 months longer than if you do it through Apple! And you cannot upgrade until after 15 payments (and pay the $5/mo fee).

AT&T has agreed (for now) that orders through Apple for a limited time can still finance on the (now discontinued) AT&T Next Every Year plan. So 24 month zero interest financing with no $5/mo fee and you can still upgrade after 12 months with a trade in.

It literally makes zero sense to me why one would finance directly through AT&T vs. finance through AT&T on the Apple site. I’m surprised more people and websites are not reporting on this.

You will have to pay about $122 if you want to upgrade after 12 months.

Not missing anything. The legacy “AT&T Next Every Year” plan that you are describing is no longer available directly through AT&T. It is, for a limited time (according to AT&T), still available if you order the phone through select non-carrier sellers (like Apple).

Did AT&T agree to this, or is it a glitch or oversight? Either way, I agree with you that it’s a significant difference that’s not being mentioned much.

Not a glitch. According to the AT&T FAQ for their Installment Plans with Next Up:

“The AT&T Next® and AT&T Next Every Year® Plans are being discontinued and are available only from select non-AT&T dealers for only a limited time.”

This is copied from AT&T's website. I'm on the phone with them. I freaking livid. The installment plan is now 30 months. No option for a 24 month plan and you are paying a service fee of $5 a month (which is not applied toward the device). So now you have to wait 15 months to upgrade. Pay $75 extra which isn't applied to your device to be able to upgrade in 15 months.
