If you’re referring to a 256 Pro Max, at $1250, then on a 30 month plan it’s $41.66 plus the $5/mo fee. That’s $46.66.

I might be wrong. I haven’t actually bought one with the new Next plan. I actually ordered a 64 Pro Max and it’s going to be $45.80 with no upgrade fee to trade it in after 12 months.

I went through AT&T and did Next Up on a 256 Pro Max. Came up to $46.67. Apple Store was $52.04 for the Next Every Year.

Thank you for the replies. So we are basically paying 5.00 extra a month to be able to upgrade and that amount doesn't even go towards the device lol wow

This is copied from AT&T's website. I'm on the phone with them. I freaking livid. The installment plan is now 30 months. No option for a 24 month plan and you are paying a service fee of $5 a month (which is not applied toward the device). So now you have to wait 15 months to upgrade. Pay $75 extra which isn't applied to your device to be able to upgrade in 15 months.
Cancel your order and place it with AT&T or Best Buy. Also if you want to upgrade after 12 months, you’ll only have to pay the $5 fee for those months, so it’s only $60, plus you have to make up the difference to payoff 50%.

Yep I did the same thing. So you if want to upgrade next year around this time in Sept your going to have to pay around 122.00 to make up the diff to pay off 50% to upgrade to the new phone if you plan on doing that next year.

Wasnt planning on pre-ordering, but jumped on my computer a minute ago and saw that Pro Max I wanted was still available for Sep 20th pickup at my local Apple store. Decided to take the leap. This will be my first iPhone in a couple of years. Not sure if I'll stay with it for long but at least until Pixel 4 prices drop around Xmas or later. Then decide if I want to stay with iPhone or jump back to Android.

Interesting. Maybe I'll regret ordering through AT&T instead of Apple when next year comes around but I haven't felt the need to upgrade every year for awhile. As phones become less and less revolutionary with each cycle, there's less of a reason (for me personally) to keep upgrading.

I wasn’t even thinking about the fact that it was 30 months and not 24. I had to pay $52 this year.

This is the price we pay, we yearly upgraders.

In all actuality, we will only be paying $60/year to upgrade. The price of the phone hasn't changed. You will still have to fork over $500 throughout the next 12 months to upgrade. Either make a couple of extra small payments or lump sum when time to upgrade. NBD.

With the term stretched out to 30mo, our bills will be slightly lower.

I ordered mine 3 minutes after preordering went live via AT&T's website. Says delivery date of 9/20 which just so happens to be my birthday ;). However, when you go to CHECK ORDER STATUS and hit MANAGE, says delivery by date of 9/19. Won't count on it but it would be nice!

I see the same thing, but experience from past years tells me it will be here on the 20th -- though one year (2014 or 2015, can't remember), it came via Fedex and they delivered it to me at 9PM Thursday night!

Yep, mine sure does as well. Check out my post which happens to be just above yours. Thought I was the only one!

Same. Has happened a few times over the years, but I don't think anyone has ever been shipped & received one early. AT&T orders typically come in batches to their Distribution Center (in TX i think?) and you will receive tracking once a label is assigned. I am in MA and mine has always shipped Fedex

The lump sum that you’ll have to pay after 12 months to reach 50% is not so bad. What I found unconscionable is the $60 you’ll be paying that’s not being applied to the price of the phone.

I've read of reports of a rare instances of people getting there's the night before but never me in my ten years of preordering iPhones. Won't count on the 19th but I'm confident of the 20th. At&t has already charged my card so that's another indication I made the first batch of deliveries.

For those that have done Apple store pickups on release day in the past, how is it? Do I just show up during my scheduled window, get my phone, and go or should I expect to be there early or be waiting a while?

EDIT: Ignore, wrong thread. My mistake.

I am a bit confused...ordered through AT&T website and I though there would be 24 month option like it showed through Apple's website saying "AT&T Installment ProgramsFrom $52.05/mo. for 24 mo."

Where was that option for 24 months? Checking out through AT&T I only saw the installment plan for 30 months and the NEXT option which I though was dumb. I can just buy out the phone from the regular installment plan yes?

Guys; does anyone received the "second email" from at&t? I just have the first one (after the pre-order) but not the second one so far.

Well, I wasn't expecting it to be this bad. Here is my preorder experience.

Apple App launched about 2 minutes late for me after continuous force quitting and restarting. After about 5 mins of the app finally being online the ship date for the iPhone Pro Silver 256GB went to October 4th and I was like hell with that and went over to ATT.

For 30 mins I tried placing my order on ATT (App and Desktop)

Pages kept freezing.
Error with my payment.
Blank Screen after check out.
Place order button disappeared.

In my opinion, this was one of the hardest preorders for me personally since the iPhone 6 Plus and I prepare for these preorders days before they go live.

Regardless, after 30 mins and starting to accept failure this magically appeared in my check order status and I received my email and my bank was deducted $109.25 for the Tax. Delivery Date of September 19th!

Same thing for me, and it says I have two orders through for the same number -_- have to call AT&T. Anyone else have the problem?

This happened to me years ago. Don't worry, it wasn't double ordered. Eventually when it reaches a certain point, it will have dropped one of the orders. Confusing I know but you'll be fine.

Let me know what happens.

Same frustration for me. I noticed the same thing about the 30 months and the fee as well. Corporate greed is alive and well. -Sigh

Can't you get the regular installment plan (not next), buy out the phone (I assume they ll have option to buy out), sell it, and then by a new one as an "upgrade"

Thats why i did regular installment...worse comes to worse I can buy out the phone, get an upgrade, and sell my phone asfter.

I went back and cancelled my order through AT&T and then ordered it through Best Buy. Still got 9/20 delivery day for iPhone 11 Pro Max Space Gray 256 GB
