I ordered the Caudabe Sheath for 12 Pro Max, and it arrived today. I'm normally 100% genuine Apple cases, but I've never really liked their silicon versions. The material just feels weird in my hand. I like the rough texture of the Caudabe, and will need the extra grip now that I'm going back to the "biggest" iPhone since moving off the 7Plus when the X came out.

Agree completely. I love the Caudabe Sheath. Grip is great like you said and it’s thin but substantial enough to provide good protection. Havent really used anything else but the Sheath for a few years.

As long as they get the MagSafe tech I’m fully in for a phone rebel this time. In the meantime I’ll stick with Apple silicon they are always quality for a full year and a half.
they’re great cases! looks amazing and super comfortable in the hand. they deserve way more attention. i’ve dropped my 11 pro a few times and they can really take a beating. only problem is that the clear plastic can scratch easily.

Another year another Macrumors post about cases ignoring Urban Armor Gear. Been using UAG cases for my last few iPhones and I think my whole family is using them too by my recommendation. Some coworkers too. Lots of options ready to go and at least earlier this week that had a 2 dollar express shipping option so I got my case already. Year two going with the civilian series. Used to always go monarch but the civilian has been working well. My best friend always jokes when he drops his phone and says uag activate. Knock on wood never had an issue using them with a ballistic glass screen protector. Worst case cracked a protector or two.

As for screen protectors been using Tech Armor for several years as well. 10 bucks for a three pack on Amazon and they finally are putting applicator templates back on the smaller phone packs (12 Pro). That was my biggest gripe the last couple iterations didn’t include so happy for that.

Edit: decided to not be lazy and look, they still have the 2 dollar two day shipping going on. Another tip if you make an account and put the case you want in cart but don’t check out I have gotten discount coupons a day or two later. I didn’t do it this year because I used Apple Pay and it seems like a lot of websites don’t let you apply a coupon then do Apple Pay checkout it’s strange.

Pretty sure those are ignored again this year because both models you mentioned look bulky and pretty ugly. And not even cheap! Everyone’s got different tastes, but I think a lot of folks on MR site ain’t going for the GI Joe look.

I just want a wallet case that exposes the buttons so I don’t have to mash at plastic, but sadly both TwelveSouth and Pad & Quill have gone to a full-wraparound design.

So I’ve found myself ordering some random piece of crap off Amazon for $15 as a stopgap while I hope in vain I find an alternative or decide which compromise is going to make me the least annoyed every time I hit that sleep button for the next two years.

The civilian cases are no more bulky than the others they featured and if you’re about looks vs protection they have like 10 styles this year including translucent fun ones. Look at the U style cases.

The comment on cost is laughable considering the most expensive case is 60 bucks and there is a featured 95 dollar case. My point is they have tons of options and never even get a mention.

So leave a link to the case, as we suggested. Obviously we can’t cover every case, but you are welcome to leave a link.

you can’t simultaneously complain that we won’t cover them when you can’t be bothered to link to the product, yourself.

I’ve used a Loopy Case (https://www.loopycases.com) for a few years now but I charge with a cable so no idea if they’re capable of wireless charging. I tried the Otterbox Pop a while back which I had high hopes for, but I returned it because the pop socket wasn’t central and every time I went to touch my phone when it was in landscape mode, with the pop socket ‘out’, it’d tip over, which made it useless as a kickstand.

I don’t know if the loopy cases are MagSafe compatible either and my only bug bear is the inability to use the loop as a kickstand. Oh, and the fact that a little lump protrudes from my arse pocket where the loop is. Other than that, I just find the loopy case so useful.
