I had to reorder my phones because I didn’t activate at time of purchase and would miss out on the T-Mobile trade in promo. That pushed back delivery to 24NOV. My original order I couldn’t cancel in time since it went to “preparing to ship” status so now I got a phone coming on 13NOV that I need to return to the store... I don’t want to wait!!!

To you and me it seems very odd to make everyone wait. People should be able to receive their device as soon as the delivery carrier can accomplish the task. I guess Apple wants to keep some of their old “pomp and circumstance” habits.
Those who’s on iPhone upgrade program been waiting overtime already!

I ordered a silver max 256 and silicon case yesterday morning, the case is already out for delivery today with fedex and the iPhone is in transit from ZhengZhou. On the Apple order page it states "preparing to ship", but it shows up in my UPS app.
Apple is certainly on top of their game getting (my) order out. :)

I'm still a bit stunned that your 256 gb Pro Max cost only $200 more than my 256 gb mini.
This is one reason I went with Pro Max. A standard 12 with 128k, SIM-free, is $879. The Pro Max 128k is $1099. For $220 it made sense for me to go big.

It was very different last year. I bought an 11 with 128k for $749. The 11 Pro Max was $1099, or a $350 difference.

looks like I wake up early on Friday for nothing - I still see Nov 13 as the delivery date for 12 Max on the Apple site, AT&T, Verizon, etc. I wonder if they have more supply or the demand is kind of low

It depends on the model. The Pro Max 128k Pacific Blue SIM-Free is now showing Dec 1 - Dec 8 shipping dates.

iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max pre-orders just went live this morning, but some customers who placed orders are already seeing those orders shift over to the "preparing to ship" status.

Orders that are preparing to ship are no longer able to be canceled, and soon those orders should be able to be tracked using methods like UPS My Choice and track by reference number in the United States. The first customers who ordered this morning will see their devices arriving on Friday, November 13.

Supplies of the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max have been adequate, though some iPhone 12 Pro Max colors and capacities from some carriers will not arrive until later in November or early December for orders placed now.

Many iPhone 12 mini models appear to be in stock and available for launch day delivery, and for those able to pick up in a store, most iPhone 12 Pro Max and 12 mini models continue to be available for launch day pickup in some areas.

According to spot checks done by Loup Ventures, the 128GB iPhone 12 Pro Max in Pacific Blue appears to be one of the most highly sought after models, alongside the iPhone 12 Pro in the same color.

I’m preparing to ship!! I have a feeling I’ll get it before the 13th. This status is days early.
You won’t. There are safeguards in place to prevent it. My 12 Pro sat in a warehouse in Louisville for four days before finally shipping to Idaho. When it hit the US on Monday with a Wednesday delivery date hundreds of us following along in a thread on the forum thought for sure we’d get our early. Nope. It sat there until Thursday night, hit Boise on Friday morning and was delivered that afternoon.

I also have a UPS tracking number for my 12 Pro Max. But I fully expect it will be Friday before it shows up. UPS delivers millions of these things. If one slips through for delivery "early", several failsafes have broken.

My wife still owes on her 11 and wants the Mini. Anyone want to sponser to pay it off?? lol

Odd I placed an order for two lines on Verizon. I have a shipping # already for the Gold 128GB, but nothing yet on the Blue 512GB, although it does say delivery expected Nov 13th. So maybe it's coming from different places? IDK.

Was able to order two 512GB Pro Max's in Pacific Blue can't wait till the 13th was really hoping that they would release these in that very cool Green like my 11 Pro Max's were but the blue looks good as well

Shipping dates for the mini haven't slipped yet which would suggest to me the demand isn't as high as the Pro models.

I had two orders this morning. Was able to get the 128 Pacific Blue Pro Max about 15 minutes after the site went live. But then about 2 hours later I remembered my 10% veterans discount! D'oh! Tried to order another one, but ship date had been pushed out two weeks. Ended up ordering a 128 Silver Pro Max (with discount) for next Friday. Figured for $110 savings, I could live with silver!! Cancelled the first one a few hours later. The silver is still "processing" at this time.
The silver is better anyway in terms of minimalism and durability. The steel is not painted on the silver, polished raw stainless steel frame, more resistant than other painted versions. :)

Yes. However, it really depends on your carrier, as they all have slightly different methods of release times. Most carriers will let you know what their schedule is on release day.
Every iPhone I’ve had since the 6S+ has come at least a day early from T-mobile.... so, not giving up hope for an early acquisition yet.

I don't see the point in waiting until Friday if these iPhone devices are ready to go...? The 12 Pro and 12 are already out. If anything, it'd ease Apple store/Third-Party stress. Anyone can enlighten me? I'm sure there's a reason.
