iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max Order Statuses Begin Shifting to 'Preparing to Ship'

Decluttr isn't worth it for me. They're offering $378 for my iPhone 11 128k. Apple gave me $350, so infinitely less hassle and worry.
I ordered mine around the same time, and its still showing (Processing) and a November 24th-30th delivery date I'm so pissed.
It might be shipped already. UPS has large protected distribution areas specifically for activities like this. They’ll sit there until Friday when they’ll be “out for delivery”.
I am not familiar with the FedEx website. I have created a free account but where do I go to find the tracking number for all the phones I ordered on att.com.
Hi All, I ordered first thing early AM the day of opening for a 12 Pro Max (I need the battery capacity) Graphite. A couple minutes before the site had the color changing apple outline and a phrase to the effect of: “opening soon, enjoy the extra sleep”. At 7:00AM CST (5AM PST) it changed to something like “hang on a minute, opening soon”. It was around 7:01AM CST when it actually did, at least for me. Since I did it through the Store app I was done in less than a minute. So, I think everyone is still in the same boat as me for those who‘s orders said delivery by Friday, 13th (let’s not get suspicious now!). My order at the time of this post is in the “In Transit” phase in the UPS system as of 11/28/2020 @ 9:20PM (I’m guessing their time?) in Zheng Zhou, China with Activity “Arrived at facility”. When it hits the air (departs facility) is when we should know they’re truly on the way! They will go through Customs in the US for destinations thusly, I think my partner’s 12 Pro went through Anchorage, AK if I remember correctly...
My 12 pro max says preparing to ship. I saw that early preorder folk’s phone are beginning to ship despite apples site still showing “preparing to ship”. I tried what a macrumors article said and tried using my phone number and order number (minus the last 2 digits) on the UPS site but didn’t have any luck. Anyone able to give me any ideas? Am I S.O.L and just need to wait? Hopefully later today it’ll say “shipped”
Mine still says ‘Preparing to ship’ in the Apple Store app. But I signed up for a UPS My Choice account with my address and it shows the package en route arriving Friday.
It is actually very close to my address already but I doubt they’ll deliver it before Friday. Argh, can’t wait!
What number do you use for tracking if there’s no tracking info on Apple.com? I’m trying to see that info on mine too. Thanks in advance!!
Mine shipped via Verizon on Monday already! Leaving Fresno. I know it won’t arrive early at all but still good to see it moving. The last few years for the X, Xs Max and 11 Pro Max, they’ve left origin shipment facility night before overnighting it here. 😂😅 Friday can’t come fast enough though! Then Monday for my 2 HomePod Mini and MagSafe!
If you go to UPS or FedEx they have ways to track inbound deliveries to your address. They would show on there!
UPS track by reference number (Phone number associated with Apple) It’ll show up there long before Apple updates from preparing to ship.

It’ll arrive Friday, if you won’t be around to sign for it have it held at nearest facility for pickup.
I pre-ordered the iPhone 12 Pro Max directly from AT&T's website and I've received a Fed-Ex tracking number.
EDIT: In addition, I received the tracking number on Saturday, the 7th. AT&T is still listing my order as "Preparing to Ship". Fed-Ex info hasn't been updated since the shipping label was created on Saturday. The estimated ship date is still saying Thursday, the 12th, so no chance I'm getting it early.

1) If you just create an account on UPS for your delivery address and enable My Choice (free), it should show you the packages coming to that address with tracking number and all the details.
2) You can also track the package with a reference number on UPS website. My reference number was my 10 digit phone number without any dashes. This method doesn’t reveal the tracking number for security reasons, but you still see the current status of the package. People have said they’ve had to use their web order number with last one or two digits dropped as the reference number.
3) If neither of the above methods work, your package is probably coming via FedEx instead. In which case, I have no idea how that works. Sorry!
For those who ordered on att.com how are y’all getting your tracking numbers? I ordered 5 Pro Maxes but the FedEx app doesn’t show any deliveries from AT&T coming. I ordered Friday at 7:00 am CT and all ordered show “preparing for shipment” on their website order status page.
