I'm more disappointed than annoyed truthfully and I'm sure they will get it fixed, but it interferes with me getting on with stuff enough that I'm personally not going to hang on to it in hopes it will be completely resolved within days. It's not practical for me to keep having to disable the accessibility features I actually need to use the phone every time I want to unlock it etc. So I've returned it and am back using my 8 for now. My phone is basically my computer when I'm at home and in most other situations so it needs to be functional which the mini I received isn’t exactly, well it is, but it's rather frustrating. look i know everyone is annoyed but apple will get this fixed...probably by thurs. im sure they are gathering data over the weekend and will have their engineers work on a when they come into work tomorrow.

not im...some have...defect screen lot factory...not software...every body look date factory maybe lot same. mine ok not problem...kaa:)
I think you mentioned before that you have a case and a screen protector on, right? Are you unlocking one-handed using your thumb? Are you able to turn on the flashlight with your thumb? If so, maybe you have smaller fingers or are touching the screen more lightly with your thumb. I have a hard time believing that some of these phones are OK and some aren't but maybe so.

Here's another example of why Apple should just give you the OPTION of unlocking the phone without swiping up. I would love to just look at the phone and have it automatically unlock and go to home screen. I realize that your'e gong to miss your notifications but who cares, you can always swipe down to see them. Don't even set that as a default setting, make it something people have to go into settings to change. I really don't understand why they don't do this.

W moim iPhone 12 mini po założeniu szkła po zablokowaniu nie mogłem odebrać przychodzących telefonów po zdjęciu szkła już odebranie działa.

can...before learn problem xs...accessililty switch control...switch for face..create recipie...not rember every thing...but can do & open face not touch...kaa:)

My mini was working fine with just the case so I decided to try case and screen protector. Noticed that the flashlight button only appears a little less sensitive to touch. Everything else is fine. Camera button is probably not an issue for me because I touch that with a different part of my thumb. I honestly wouldn’t even notice this issue unless I saw this forum. I’d probably just adapt the way I tap the flashlight button to accommodate or just not use that flashlight button on the Lock Screen all together.

have...case pitaka glass spigen...it not problem & try many same same many time...not problem...kaa:)

Getting my mini tomorrow, I already have an ESR screen protector and the caseology pop case that another user mentions. We should probably tweet this thread to Dieter Bohn or anyone at the verge , they are usually pretty vocal about this stuff.

I’m using the caseology pop case and also a tempered glass screen protector. I have noticed no issues other than the flashlight button on Home Screen is finicky.

I too use a pitaka (air) case, with a cheap.25 screen protector from Amazon (which is amazing, I don't see/feel it's there at all) and while the problem exists, for example when I put the phone on a table and try to activate the flash light with a single finger, npraticallybi don't feel the issue because the case is open at the bottom and sides, which means I'm touching the frame in most handling positions. Cheers!

I bought the iPhone 12 mini in Switzerland via their website and I have a return policy active until the 8th January. I am returning mine nonetheless, the battery life is not great either, so getting a regular iPhone 12 here.
