Its a new product, it needs a bit more time to fully see its potential. If they make a Pro mini next year, that is the phone I will get. I got my better half a 12 mini and I LOVE IT.

It's because people want the pro features in the mini size, which wasn't available.
No, I wanted a mini size at mini price !

Just a smaller iPhone with upgraded processor, decent LCD screen and basic, but decent enough camera like the SE.

I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

Money talks everyone. Apple doesn’t care about you just what you buy from them. Same as every other business

The dictionary defines "business" as "a person, partnership, or corporation engaged in commerce, manufacturing, or a service; profit-seeking enterprise or concern."

What PRO features? An extra GB of RAM, LiDAR and ProRAW? Useless features to the vast majority of users.

Exactly why I got rid of my 11 pro max for the mini. I realized that I didn't end up using the extra features and got sick and tired of lugging around a massive phone. I also use my ipad and imac and AppleTV for the majority of my media consumption.

The market has spoken, and the volume dwarfs idiots arguing on the internet by several orders of magnitude

Cut it to $649 and increase the battery capacity and then come tell me what the 'market thinks'.

Everyone I know who has a mini absolutely loves it. So while it might be selling just 5%, the overall satisfaction is probably extremely high.

Haven’t seen anyone with one — of course I’m not out much. But there’s been little to no Apple promotion of the phone since its release.

Assuming the negative reviews of the battery life probably deterred some buyers.

That’s correct. Apple wants you to spend you money with them. If you don’t they don’t much care about you.

or maybe this post went over head.

I have one and all that keeps running through my head is:

"I thought I wanted it, but I don't."

The 12 mini is my favorite iPhone ever and it’s not even close. I’ve had a 4s, 5s, 7, and X in the past and this is the combination of the 5s size and the full-screen of the X that I had been waiting for for 3 years. And though I thought it might be silly, the 12 mini with Apple’s magnetic wallet is a perfect pair. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s kind of dumb on a larger phone, but it works out great since the wallet is the exact size of the 12 mini.

I always love iPhones, but I’ve used blackberry z10 in the past and my thought was my God, this could be a great iphone in term of size and the gesture navigation. I wished the z10’s gesture was on iPhones back then. So technically I was waiting for this iPhone 12 mini since 2013 january when z10 launched.

8 years later here I am with the mini. I love it so much and I hope apple won’t cancel this lineup next year.
