Iphone 12 pro got a drop of health after 4 months of usage, then rapidly reached 92% in just 3 months(mid March to mid June), then replaced with new battery at free after repeated checking in Apple store. I started to use new battery at mid June but it started to drop again on today, exactly 3 months. It is 99% on iphone health page but coconut said that my health is only92%!!!!!! just 39 cycles. MY Xs and X were 100% at 1y with same kind of usage. Never fast charge, never drain, never wireless, always charge before reaching 60-70%, Xs/X were 100% at 1y. 2 batteries with similar result, though same production origin of battery. I really wonder that ip12 series has global battery problem or motherboard issue in certain patch.
Heat is the biggest detriment to battery health. If you charge under hot temps, or left your phone in the car or somewhere real hot it will take down those numbers fast.

12 Pro 512gb. Bought Oct 28 2020.
88% battery health, 218 cycles.

I've never experienced this before. My 6S+ took three years to reach 80. Apple Support said this is normal and to be expected, but I've owned seven iPhones before this 12 Pro and not seen this kind of dip before. I've lost 10% in about three months.

We don't have upgrade programs or carrier subsidies here in Finland, you pay full price for the device. For over 1,500 € I expect better than this. There's no way I am upgrading to 13 if they can't own up to there being a problem. For all I know it'd be the same clown act with the next series.

My iPhone X had 98% after 1.5 years. And 90% after 3 years.

My launch day Mini is now at 90%... and it has only been out for like 10 months.

I just sold my 12p, less than one year of owning it. I got the iPhone 13 because my 12p battery is consistently draining 15-20% overnight in idle with no background tasks, and 5G disabled. During the day I’m also experiencing poor battery life. I’ve never experienced such battery drain with an iPhone before.

My battery though just fine at 96% after one year, I’ve noticed that if I have a VPN service it will use up my battery overnight. This might be a cause for some of you.

lolling at those who are saying they are flipping for the 13 because of battery life..... never fails to make me laugh. I can hear sheep in the distance...

I wouldn’t upgrade unless I knew for sure the 13 Pro Max’s battery was better than my 12 Pro Max, but by that time the 14 series will almost be ready.

The battery health on my iPhone 12 Pro dropped to 99% after only owning it for 3 months. This got me really upset (more than it should have) for the past few days.
I can’t tell if you’re joking or not. In case you are being legitimate, honestly don’t worry about it. You won’t even own the phone in 3 years.

89% now..
Already „beat“ the X.. i guess it’s not slowing down :(

Kind of sucks but my 12pro looks like it has stabilized at 87% now. At this rate, no warranty will be honored. This is as much battery capacity gone with the extra battery capacity that has been added to the 13pro. I would rather hoped it stay constant at 95% or more which is what is been for my case until the 12Pro.

I used my 92% health 12 Pro for a long time away from home today. It went down to 50% battery after using it on and off for 6 hours. I guess that's normal, but I feel like it used to be a lot better. And unlike others, I think iOS 15 runs down the battery faster.

Battery lottery FTW! Still have over 100% health at 221 cycles. I do think it'll hit 100% health at 300 cycles at this rate

10 day usage with iOS 15.0.1, just as good as iOS 14.8 though it comes close to iOS 14.2 battery efficiency

I think there was something wrong with iOS 14… on iOS 15 (been on since betas) my battery health hasn't fallen a single percent (Its still stuck at 87%). Too bad I won't be getting a replacement on warranty. However, Apple should still own up to it and acknowledge whatever the issue is/was.

That’s just too easy for Apple to do. It would be nice especially for those of us that are not upgrading this year. I’m still holding strong at 91%. I’m upgrading next year, but decided to have my battery replaced at 80%, since my 12 Pro Max will be my backup phone next year and will have a new battery without any cost.

having been to a Genius Bar appointment recently I can see they aren't going to acknowledge any battery issues, unless of course people are walking in with less than 80% battery with normal use. they give the same waffle they give anyone which is that the battery is performing normally etc. I think we make the mistake of keeping the battery topped up in the day and from now on I'm not going to do that..... I'll charge overnight and let it drain in the day as I think top up charging is counter productive as when the Genius Bar run stats on the device in store it looks like the battery is coping quite well in the day, but that doesn't take into account the top up charging in the day.....
