The phone is a beast!!!! The screen size is of 6.1 inches is perfect. The phone is balanced, feels good in my hands. Its snappy, looks fantastic, feels great to use. The weight is perfect, imo, it feels solid.

I didnt think I woud care about refresh rate, I have never in my life bothered with it - but here I am thinking that damn, the 12 pro should reeeeeeeeally have had a higher refresh rate. The lag from opening and closing apps is VERY noticable, probably has to do with the fact that the screen is bigger.

I notice nothing like this on my regular 8, again probably because the screen is smaller.

In the end it doesnt matter so much as I dont be opening and closing apps all day, but its a shame in 2020 and for this price.

Another bother is the bottom of the official silicone cover, it gets tiresome to hit the finger on the raised edge every time you unlock the phone.

Just picked up the blue 12 from my local Apple store. I’ll note that after seeing the colors in person, the red and black look really good, almost made me regret going with blue.

As far as the phone is concerned, I was upgrading from an XS and I can immediately feel the size difference. Honestly, pretty disappointed in how much larger the 12 feels in hand and I was curious if the squared edges would make it feel larger. In my opinion, it absolutely does. Im rocking no case, so I’d assume that you’re basically right at the size of the 11 when you slap a case on it.

Knew this would be an issue as well, but the stainless steel rails make holding the XS feel more secure, vs. the aluminum sides on the 12. It’s going to take some getting used to.

Overall, the phone is fine, but I may return and buy the Mini if I can’t get used to the size in the next two weeks.

The settings are identical. It seems to happen every year when people compare their new and old phones side by side.

The speck is dog hair LOL. Everything I own is covered in dog hair and I’ve learnt to live with it.
I have 4 German shepherds - I was showing off my new AW series 6 and someone stated it had scuffs and scratches....I'm like - that's dog hair. I can't get around it :). I feel ya on that one

Just finished setting mine up (12 Pro, Pacific Blue). Initial impressions are that the colour and design are gorgeous - I've been a Space Grey man for every iPhone, but the blue really spoke to me this year and I'm glad I went for it.

The flat edges are much better than rounded imo. Crisper, and easier to hold onto.

Face ID & camera focusing do seem marginally faster to me (coming from 11 Pro), also can notice the extra .3" on the screen - Feels like the perfect size. Looking forward to getting out there and snapping some photos on it!

My black 12 should arrive today, so I’m glad to hear it looks good. From videos and photos I’ve seen, the red doesn’t look very red. Is it better in person? IMO, they had the red just right on the XR, and it has gotten progressively less red to where this one looks almost orange or coral, but it could be lighting I’m sure.

Gosh I hope the 12 doesn’t feel as large as the 11, size or weight wise. I know a case will make it bigger overall, but since I always keep cases on my phones, I should still see some reduction in size/weight overall from an 11. At least that’s what I’m hoping for. After using the SE2, I know whatever I get is gonna feel big at first.

How much bigger does the 12 Pro feel compared to your old 11 Pro? Do the square sides make it feel bigger?

I like that blue, I'm probably going to get the Mini though so we'll have to see what that one looks like in blue. That case color is really nice too, reminds me of the 3rd gen iPod nano in product red.

Picked up a 12 Pro in blue a few minutes ago, sadly I had to run back to work so I won't be able to set it up until this evening. We need more pictures in this thread!!

My wife’s silver and my pacific blue arrived an hour ago. Haven’t opened them yet. Will see if it has this yellow screen issue when we get them up and running.

Back to report no yellow screen issue whatsoever.

This is also the first time in a long while, probably since iPhone 4, that I've put a screen protector on my iPhone. The iPhone 11 Pro's tolerance for scratches was pretty abysmal and I didn't want to take any chances with my 12 Pro. I generally dislike screen protectors but I must admit, the selection and quality of protectors these days is much better. Now I have peace of mind.

120 hz does not help the speed that apps open.

So just picked up my 12 Pro in PB the color is nice I like it. I’m currently walking around NYC trying to pick up a 5G UWB signal, no luck yet. Form factor feels pretty good in hand. The bezels honestly I don’t know if it’s me but there’s not that much of a noticeable difference from my X.

I got my 256 GB Pacific Blue this morning. I'm switching from the XS and I love the new phone. Though, coming from the XS Silicon case with no protection at the bottom, the new Silicon Magsafe case feels strange and way thicker than the old one. Especially the hole at the bottom protection feels totally strange while typing one-handed. I guess I might get used to it, but this is my first impression. The phone itself is beautiful and I cannot wait to check out the new camera ;-)

Got my 12 Pro this morning. I wonder whats the best way to export movies shot in 4K and HDR. I tried export from iMove but my LG screen does not show HDR indicator when I play the clip.

I picked up the 12pro thinking I was going to try out the 12pro for 2 weeks and return it and get the 12 pro max.

I did try out the 11 pro max last year before thinking I would like it but I ended up with the 11pro for a year (Size wise I liked the 11pro cuz it was easy on the pockets). I initially thought I would prefer the 12 pro max now but so far and its only been a few hours...the 11 pro feels nice and big enough IMO. I definitely can feel and see the difference from the 11 pro to the 12 pro.

Does anyone have the 12Pro in Silver that they can compare to an 11Pro in Silver? I’m very hopeful that the rear case is more white versus the pearl like color that we ended up with last year.

Same. I can tell the difference between the 11 and 12 pros. Whilst it’s thinner, the squared edges make it feel a bit more rugged (in a good way) and I think any bigger would feel too big. For now. Personal preferences and all..
