Got 3 12pro which s/n. G6tf3xxxxx last week. Still have raised black but no green tint. All displays have slight warmer tone comparing to my calibrated 6500k iMac.
Hmmm interesting, if apple don't fix this green tint crap with a software update, looks like I'll be heading into a apple store in a couple month time demanding (nicely) a new iPhone 12 Pro max.Got 3 12pro which s/n. The thing that stops me from exchanging is the fact that samsung fixed a similar issue with software update. Lets just hope Apple follow suitHmmm interesting, if apple don't fix this green tint crap with a software update, looks like I'll be heading into a apple store in a couple month time demanding (nicely) a new iPhone 12 Pro max.
Correct, apple also fixed the same issue on the 11 pros last year, taking their sweet ass time this year though. 😂The thing that stops me from exchanging is the fact that samsung fixed a similar issue with software update. Lets just hope Apple follow suit
I’d put up with any scratches for a wonderful screen personally. They’re tough to come by as you know
So is it true newer models don’t have the green tint issue?
Did you look up the serial number of the screen?I tested two different samples, week 50 and 51. Surprisingly the week 50 one (currently using it) is perfect while the week 51 still had the flickering issue.
I think I’m getting my replacement and will try my luck again. May God help me lol. I just can’t stand having a scratched phone. I mean, if it was my fault, I’d live with it, but it was there when I opened the box...

No, even the latest production batch has this issue. So is it true newer models don’t have the green tint issue?

I think you will look way more at the screen than at the scratch.I took a couple pics in pitch dark with 0% brightness and added them to my previous post. Check it out
No mate. Time to consider that S21U? 😂🤣😂Can anyone report if the green tint has been fixed with today beta release?\
Guessing no.

Mine is a 2021 (week 2) manufactured iPhone 12 pro. I don’t see any green tint but there was flickering and raised black on minimum brightness (Kinda look like washed out grey color). The screen is extremely warm too compared to my x and iPhone 11. I really hate the yellow screen. The photos I capture are so unrealistic. I hope they can fix this. 😅Anyone received latest 2021(January 2nd or 3rd week) Manufactured device, and still facing the raised blacks?
If yes, kindly post the production details, Thanks.
How do you read serial numbers? I have searched on different websites but they all tell different information. Mine starts with DNPDHxxxxx...No, the phone’s serial number. The 5th digit on this one is a V while the previous was a W. 50th and 51st week respectively.
Google the Word „chipmunk“ and „serial“ and you’ll find a site that will show you all the information for your SN. You can change the last few digits or so if you don’t want to put in your real SN.How do you read serial numbers? I have searched on different websites but they all tell different information.
