I noticed that a solid black background looks fine when viewed at 100%. Anything zoomed in immediately causes a glow. The same thing happens when watching a video. If I take a screenshot of a black video and zoom in I see glowing. It's most definitely a bug.

Hope so, seems to be a bug they can’t fix.

No not fixed for me. It’s better e.g. when using a black wallpaper but e.g. in Photos App the black frames have raised blacks. The intensity seems to depend on the photo in some way.

Which iphone 12 model are you using please?

Ok so correct me if im wrong but green tint seems to be fixed with 14.5 but raised black still presist. The question is whether its hardware or software related issue. Cant decide if i should buy 12/12 pro model or wait till september for 13s models

As other people have said, green tint hasn’t been fully fixed, I’m on the latest RC beta and I’m still seeing it in the photos app on the black borders when swiping through some photos.

It took them till August to fix the green tint issue on the 11 series, so it might be a while before we have this issue fully resolved.

i‘ll give apple a bit more time to get their **** together before demanding a replacement.

Even zollotech has said it’s fixed for some and not for others. 👇

Thats great but do you really think its a software issue when only some of the units are affected and theres not a rule for it? It seems to me more like a hardware issue that cannot be completely fixed by SW

I think its has something to do with calibration of grey shades or some power management thing. Im almost sure its software issue. Some people arent so sensitive to see it.

I can say there is no raised black anymore when looking pure black picture on that pure black video. Photo gallery looks fine too. I noticed flickering only when watching black video vertically. Sry for my bad english.

As mentioned in this video, after getting the screen replacement done, everything seems to be fine but later he discovered the same display issues.
Not sure about the root cause of this issue.

I wonder if this purple one will have the raised black. Really every iPhone 12 I’ve seen has a raised black. Mine mini bought one a first day, my friends’ minis, pro bought in December, March, all of them .

Yes anyone tested 14.6 beta? :)

I bought another 12 Pro Max 256 GB Graphite new for good money. Also have raised blacks but it’s ok. Will keep the phone. Everything is fine besides the raised blacks ...

This is 5% grey with about 10% brightness. Uniform is kinda good. Only the left side a little bit darker but it’s okay ...
