When you say you were on hotspot, was that after the first of second time you charged? It looks like after the second charge, you had about 6 hrs 49 mins on 80% battery usage. At 100% battery usage, you would get abut 8 hrs 30 mins. This is good. Might want to start posting your battery usage charts with "SHOW ACTIVITY" selected, which shows how much time was spent in each activity.
Hotspot was between the first charge and second charge and I charged all night then until 100%. It lasted until 19 pm with 16% with 7:10 hours of usage. I’ll test my iPhone again

Post your battery chart with “SHOW ACTIVITY” selected.

Alas it wouldn’t be much meaningful, as I switched on Wi-Fi only late 8 pm and did some tests in early 9pm, so can’t select 1 meaningful hour for the graph

You mainly on cellular service and have WiFi off most of the time? If that is the case, then I can see why your battery life could be lower.

It’s fine to post battery usage with cellular. It would be interesting to see.

Indeed. Anyway for what it’s worth, here it is. Last charge almost 24h ago, very light use. The high off screen use today is since I activated AdGuard Pro DNS VPN filtering. High use but actually consume very little battery. Big offender is also scrolling fast and using often the full 120Hz

It looks like you had about 7 hrs 51 mins (about 471 total mins), about 44% battery usage. You last charged to 72%. Am I getting this correct? If this is all correct, you have not been getting good battery life, you have been getting incredible battery life.

I have not noticed any excess battery drain from using ProMotion. Keep in mind that display in the 13 Pro/Pro Max is LTPO which is a lower power display.

I used my phone over wifi but I left turned on the cellular data so both wifi and cellular data were on. Does it affect the battery life or automatically the phone save battery while using wifi but with cellular data on?

Is your 13 pro max warmer than any LCD displays?

The cellular data should be automatically off whenever the wifi is switched on

I believe this is incorrect. The phone is pinging cell towers periodically when the cellular radio on. (In part this is how Apple's feature that falls over to cellular when wifi is weak works, cannot remember what that's called) How significant this is depends on the strenght of signal to the cell tower.

The way to make sure cell radios are off is: Airplane Mode - ON; Wifi - ON.

Screen off time of 337m should not be added up with Screen on time of 133m
Recharged at 30% means SOT of each % is 133/42=3+mins
If I'm getting this correct, then those apps running in the background are the drainers

How about compared to another iPhone or OLED display?
I just compared my 13 Pro Max to my LCD display in my 13" MacBook Pro and the 13 Pro Max looks great next to the LCD display. With True Tone off white displayed on the 13 Pro Max seems to be on the cooler side of white. No evidence of tinting. I don't use any color filters on my 13 Pro Max.

I always think wifi drains battery more than cellular

I don't add screen-on time and screen-off time together, I compute manually each bar of the battery usage chart, starting after the battery charge has completed. And those apps that are grouped into the screen-off time consume battery. Those screen-on and screen-off times are calculated even when you are on the charger and using the app.

The OP had a total of 471 mins of battery usage total, off the charger.

The amount of power used is based on the distance between the tower and your phone. So it’s pretty much always going to be cellular using the most power.

So means I have a total of 624mins of battery usage total, after deducting the charging time

Mine looks warmer by a bit compared to my mac set to 6500k white

It looks like about 612 mins between your first and second battery charge, used 32% (80%-48%). battery it looks like. I would count the battery life after the second charge separately as that charged back to 80%. And I don't include app times that are during charging because is not really using battery on its own.

Pardon me but how did you see I recharged the phone at 48%? Such a precision
